• Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - The Jade Dragon (Yulong) Snow Mountain is recognized as the southernmost snow-capped mountain in the Northern Hemisphere. As a must-visit attraction in Lijiang City, Yulong Snow Mountain consists of 13 peaks, with the tallest, Shanzidou, reaching 5,596 meters above sea level. The mountain range extends 35 kilometers from north to south and 15 kilometers from west to east. The snow-covered and mist-enshrouded mountain resembles a giant jade dragon when viewed from Lijiang Old Town, hence the name “Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.”

Take the Glacier Park cableway to the summit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Glacier Park is situated on Shanzidou Peak. There are a total of 19 oceanic glaciers on the peak, including hanging glaciers and cirque glaciers. The cableway to the glacier park is one of the highest in Asia, with a length of 2,914 meters and a vertical drop of 1,150 meters. After exiting the cableway, visitors can walk to the highest viewing platform of the mountain at 4,580 meters above sea level.

• Blue Moon Valley - Baishui River flows through a deep valley named Blue Moon Valley, which is crescent-shaped, and when the sun shines, the water appears blue. From afar, the valley resembles a blue moon at the base of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The Yak Plateau is part of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area, home to the Yi and Tibetan ethnic minorities. The local people sustain themselves through livestock farming, preserving their traditional customs and culture. As a typical pasture, the Yak Plateau is accompanied by snow-capped mountain scenery, the clear Heishui River, and dense ancient forests, creating a serene natural painting. With a carpet of colorful flowers in spring, lush green grasses in summer, golden fields in autumn, and snow-covered views in winter, the plateau is an ideal place to experience the diverse beauty of nature.
