Rio Negro Hot Springs - Hot Springs & Volcanic Mud Bath
After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque,” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. Ziplining
First you will get strapped in your harness and start the ziplining course through the canopy and canyons! The course takes you into a steep canyon over a turbulent river, where you will zipline, rappel and rock climb, cross hanging bridges and ride Tarzan swings. You will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a climbing wall, a hanging bridge, “via ferrata” (cable) rappel, and a tarzan swing!
Horseback Riding
After ziplining, you will return to the tour base to prepare for a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano
- Rincon de La Vieja - River Tubing - You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube” for over 5 kilometers.

Ziplining
Take on our zipline course nestled in a deep canyon, featuring 8 zip wire cables, 18 landing platforms, a suspension bridge, optional rappelling and a thrilling Tarzan swing.
Horseback Riding - Enjoy a serene 45-minute ride through the forest, viewing the region’s unique flora and fauna around the volcano.
River Tubing - Have the most exhilarating time floating down the clear and playful rapids of the Rio Negro on your personal rafting ‘tube’ for over 5 kilometers.
Lunch includes a variety of entree and side options from the salad bar, dessert bar, along with fresh juice, coffee, and tea. Dietary requirements of all types can be met.
Post-lunch, you’ll be transported to the Hot Springs & Mud Bath. Housed in the midst of tropical dry forest, the Rio Negro Hot Springs boast ten naturally heated pools, courtesy of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

Exceptional experience!!!! - Alejandro was a phenomenal tour guide! He was knowledgeable, excellent with children, and exceeded our expectations. This tour was breathtaking. We zip lined through paradise. We would highly recommend this to friends and family!

Perfect - Paid extra as collected from Planet Hollywood but well worth it. Maybe we got lucky but we had the mini bus to ourselves. Kenneth, the driver and rep for the day, was a gent. Informative on our journey about all things Costa Rican and was with us the entire trip making sure we got around without issue.
1) zip wire - really good amount of lines around the circuit. Don’t forget to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
2) Horse riding - surprisingly relaxing and the horses are clearly well looked after.
3) River tubes - unbelievably good. Mixture of lazy river and rapids. The guys running this work hard keeping everyone moving when it gets too lazy.
4) Lunch - decent buffet. Fresh and tasty
5) Mud bath and hot springs - nice way to end the tour. We were stupid, don’t wear light coloured swimwear or at least don’t smother it in mud.

Must do! - What an amazing day for my son’s 13th birthday! Our group was amazing and we encouraged and loved doing all the activities together. We kept saying “We are river tubing in Costa Rica! We are zip lining in Costa Rica!” The zip line was my son’s favorite. The tubing was my favorite. The guides and photographers are amazing in the Adventure Park. Highly encourage the photo package and keep your camera in the car for the zip line, horseback and tubing. They got plenty of shots of really good shots. Ask the photographers to take pictures for you of the waterfalls and creek through the canyon. I bet they will. This was the only thing I wish I had picture of that we didn’t get because the canyon you zip line through is stunning. Take your camera for the mud bath if you want photos here.
I had read tons of changing clothes. I think the girls in our group that wore quick dry athletic wear were the smartest because there are several times you are sitting on the bus going to the next stop in your wet clothes.(which dry pretty quick because of heat) We also had one more change to change from our wet clothes back to street clothes before the hour trip back to the hotel and no one in the van took it because we were so tired from an amazing day of adventure. We travel a lot and by far this was the best tour at such an affordable cost!
Our driver, Frank and guide Kevin Pina were so kind and helpful as well. Kevin shared lots of information about the region. Worth every penny

Great adventure, full day - As a family, we’ve done quite a few zip lines in different locations around the world including Costa Rica, this is one of the prettiest zip lines we’ve done.
Horseback riding good if you’re comfortable on horses. they do a great job chaperone through.
The white river tubing was adventurous and safe.
The lunch at the restaurant was really good.
Try to avoid the crowd

Great package - I loved the package - started with horse-riding, then tubing, then zip lining.
I enjoyed them all but the tubing was really exciting.
The safety was very good - considering lots of nasty rocks on the tubing no one got hurt.
We finished the day at the hot springs - and I do mean hot!
Very long day but went in a flash.
The midday meal was surprisingly good - as most trips seem to provide rubbish.
Strongly recommend.

Best Ever!!! - If your looking for a great adventure this is the one. It’s a long day but the way it’s planned out it is perfect. We started on the horses they are gentle as ever, then to the tubing which is over an hour , so much fun. Lunch was buffet style and delicious as all food in Costa Rica. After lunch the Zipline wow my first time and it more then just over the canopy!! This will get your adrenaline pumping . Then to finish off mud baths and hot springs sooooo relaxing for the ride home. This is best trip and best value for the cost. The only thing is the guide that help you with tubing and Zipline do an awesome job and they have tip jars so try and take a bit of cash somehow like a zipped pocket so you can leave a tip, they deserve it. Many of us left all our stuff behind so not to loose anything and felt bad cause no way to tip them in the end.

Fun times - The excursions themselves were all fantastic. We didn't realize this booking is basically a rebranding or resale of the One Day Adventure Pass offered by Hotel Hacienda Guachipilen that we could have gotten the same exact deal for $25 less by going directly through this hotel (we had our own transportation there). There is no Native Waters guide that accompanies you at the property. Basically you get to the hotel and you get added to a group of ~100 others customers from other outfits and there is no consistent guide provided by them, just get bounced around from excursion to excursion, which again were all great, but not personalized at all. Lunch buffet was good. Also I felt like this was at the base of the National Park and not inside it. Our pass did not gain us admission to the park if we wanted to go in. Also be aware this does get you in past the private property toll collector for free if you know which tour you are on otherwise you will have to pay something like $2 per person to get to the hotel.

Very good but not perfect - From the Tamarindo hotels, it is a full 3 hour drive each way to the destination, given the appalling traffic. An exhausting day.
The transfer bus was uncomfortable and the guide unclear in his instructions, perhaps we were unclear with his English.
Our order of events was ziplining, horse riding, river tubing, lunch then hot springs with mud bath. The hot springs are a further 20 minutes away by bus.
We were safety briefed and looked after well by the staff onsite, although our group was way too big and many people felt we were being rushed at each activity.
All the activities were fun and well worth the trip. Lunch was functional but again rushed as we needed to move on elsewhere.
Elements of the river tubing were exhilarating but there's no doubt that the low river level affected some areas but staff were on hand to keep the group moving.
We purchased a good set of family photos for 60 dollars US.
A tiring, fun day with good memories and very family-friendly
