Rapids and Revelations

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves of Central America’s most stunning coastlines. But when I heard about the Colorado River Tubing experience in Liberia, I knew I had to trade my surfboard for a tube and see what the fuss was all about. As someone who spends most of his time on the water, the idea of riding a horse was both exciting and a little daunting. But the horses were gentle and well-trained, and our guides made sure we were comfortable and confident before setting off.

The ride took us through trails that wound through the forest, offering glimpses of the vibrant flora and fauna that call this region home. It was a peaceful journey, the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves providing a soothing soundtrack to the stunning scenery. The highlight of the ride was undoubtedly the stop at Rio Blanco, where we were treated to a swim in its unique volcanic turquoise waters. The cool, refreshing water was a welcome respite from the heat, and I found myself reluctant to leave this little slice of paradise.
