An Inside Look into the World of Horse Racing - Even though the weather did not cooperate, we enjoyed our horse farm tour. Our driver Ernie is a retired former jockey, so he knows a lot about the horses, the farms, and horse racing. We were not able to tour Keenland because April is racing season, but the company substituted Old Friends Farm, a farm for retired champions and other thoroughbreds. It was a pleasure to meet Silver Charm who is an old old friend and former Kentucky Derby winner. The connection between our guide and this horse was special. We also enjoyed the tour of Magdalene (sp?) horse farm and seeing their mares and foals. We learned a lot about horse racing on this tour.

Great Tour - Very informative and our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable. Learned so much and was able to see a foal born the night before. Others were a week old. Toured the race track at Keeneland and a drove past many horse farms.

First stop of the day... - First stop of the day seeing and touching both mares and colts. Mike our guide showed us several of the well known farms and so much history about the area. Final stop was several Derby winners that are now living their final days enjoying green pastures. Thanks again for a great day Mike.

A must for families - I thought we would actually visit more farms, but all we did was drive by. Tour was supposed to be three hours, but it was short maybe because of rain? Stood at Keeneland for a long time and watched the practices, fun. Went to a farm to pet the foals. Great tour for kids, but not much factual information. My daughter LOVED it.
