Experience a guided tour down The Great River on a 30-foot bamboo raft, accommodating two people per raft with a weight limit of 500 lbs for both travelers. An extra raft costs $60 USD for those exceeding the combined weight limit. The Great River serves as a primary water source for Montego Bay and nearby communities. Delight in a freshly cut jelly coconut, which will surprise you with its taste. Local cuisine is available at a nearby cook shop (a “hole in the wall”) for an additional cost (optional), with a menu typically featuring curried goat, pork, oxtail, and fried, curried, or brown stew chicken.

The rafting experience is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes. For groups opting for multiple full body massages, the duration is expected to extend to 90 to 120 minutes. All rafting concludes at the starting point, except in cases of high river conditions. High river conditions occur when the river level rises due to rain in other areas, making it unsafe to return to the starting point.
