- Liabygda Ringsetskiftet - 10. ViewPoint by the sea. As we head to the ViewPoint by the sea, we pass the historic Rose Church in Stordal, constructed in 1789. Another stunning ViewPoint is near Liabygda. To the left, observe a salmon fish farm, and to the right, the town of Stranda, home to the Grandiosa pizza factory. Across the fjord, the waterway leads to Geiranger and Hellesylt. On the mountain to the left, you can spot the mountain farm Skrednakken, visited by Norwegian Queen Sonja some years ago. Remember to capture some beautiful photos.
- Gudbrandsjuvet - 20. Gudbrandsjuvet is a river gorge in the Valldøla river. The river flows dynamically between gorges and mountain crevices, meeting at unexpected angles before passing under the bridge and cascading further down the valley. The gorge is partly shaped by several large potholes. This water feature is a popular tourist attraction, with platforms and bridges crafted from a mix of glass and rusted iron in both walls and floors. A cafeteria and free toilets are available here. Don’t miss their delicious Salmon baguette!
- Krikebrua - 25. The old bridge at Krikebrua is a marvel of nature! This is one of the most remarkable stops on our journey. We pause at a small area with free toilets and benches for resting. We then hike together for about 3 to 4 minutes across the road to see an old bridge (constructed in 1891) and a stunning waterfall and river above. The bridge is made entirely of rocks, with no concrete or steel in its construction. Please use the bins on the bus for your trash.
- Trollstigen - 30. Trollstigen ViewPoints is the highlight of our trip. There are two ViewPoints available; one is a 5-minute walk, and the other, the best one, is a 10-minute walk from the bus. The path to these viewpoints is paved with concrete and has sturdy safety fences. A souvenir shop and free toilets are available at Trollstigen. A cafeteria offers sandwiches, coffee, and soft ice cream, along with hot meals.
- Trollstigen foothill viewpoint - 35. We descend from Trollstigen towards Trollstigen Gjestegård, stopping for photos after Stigfoss. This stop is available from July 15, 2025.
- Trollstigen Drift As - 40. This is the final stop on our journey. Trollstigen Gjestegård features a large souvenir shop and a cafeteria. Restrooms are also available.

Wonderful Tour - Very nice tour, definitely better than any of the cruise tours you can book. Guide was super knowledgeable about everything and accommodated us even with an infant.

Excellent tour in Norway - This excursion was one of the best we have ever taken. It was very organized and very well laid out. We never felt rushed and everything we saw was incredible. The narrative provided during the tour was excellent and very informative. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone and would take it again if in the area. This area was beautiful and this tour highlighted that for us.

The Troll Stairway - Great tour with breathtaking views at each stop. Comfortable transport in a mini van. The guide (Trond) is a local from Ålesund and a very nice guy. He had a lot of stories and explanations during the tour. And as the cafetaria were closed for the season he arranged a picknick with local Norwegian food and candy. We loved the hot berry beverage! Trollstigen it self is fantastic. And: do not forget to take the Norwegian Soft Ice, it’s amazing! Highly recommended! And as Trond said to us: The best pictures are the memories in your head, and this tour gave us a lot of them. Thanks Trond and: we’ll be back!

Family Trollstigen adventure 20Sep25 - The tour was excellent and our driver Trone was a wealth or knowledge. The tour was kept on schedule and were back in plenty of time to make the all aboard time. The tour stand was literally right outside of the gate if you looked straight ahead (look for a big orange flag). Don’t think this tour is solely about seeing trolls. This tour has fantastic views, plenty of bathroom breaks and would do this tour again. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars!
