Kilimanjaro National Park - Elevation: 23770m/7800ft to 2895m/9500ft
Departing from Moshi a 45-minute drive will take you through welcoming mountainside villages to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. We will patiently wait for our permits to be issued while watching the hustle and bustle of operations as many crews prepare for the journey ahead Enjoy the beautiful rainforest scenery and windy trails while your guide tells you about the local flora and fauna and natural wildlife. Additional Information

The Lemosho route is best experienced over 8 days. In this schedule, the climb from Barranco to Barafu is split across two days, providing a brief period of rest right before the attempt to reach the summit. This is crucial since the ascent to the peak begins at midnight, causing climbers to be weary due to lack of sleep on the most challenging day of the climb. A shorter day prior to this provides a chance for climbers to recuperate.

  • GRATUITUES:
  • Tip on Mountain Kilimanjaro is recommended for group sharing as following:
  • Guide $15 – $20/guide/day
  • Cook $10 – $15/day
  • Porters $8 – $10/porter/day

Excellent Kili Trek! - I had a wonderful trek on the Lemosho route up Mount Kilimanjaro, organised through Migration Ventures. My guide Zacariah was excellent - very patient and encouraging - and the crew of cook and porters did a fantastic job, helping me reach my summit goal. Everything ran smoothly - from the airport pickup to accommodation at a hotel beforehand to the trek itself and airport dropoff at the end. Zacariah was simply an amazing guide - ask for him when you book!

Kilimanjaro, done and dusted! - Tanzania is always great and I was happy to reconnect with my old friend and host Amos this time going for the ultimate prize - Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route. Amos and his team did not disappoint, he arranged for perfect guides: Epa and Joseph who took the best care of us. Getting to the summit of Kilimanjaro was much harder than we expected and I believe the crew of guides and porters made all the difference between success and failure. Nothing can replace the presence of an experienced guide at your side, whose duty is to keep you going, safe, nourished, healthy and also much more than just a friend. I know that the level of involvement during the planning phase and actual is huge because nothing took us by chance. Thank you Amos and the whole Migration Ventures team!

Uhuru Peak summiting experience - Lemosho Route - Migration Venture provided an extraordinary and a very pleasurable end-to-end experience for us during our successful Kilimanjaro climb through the Lemosho route. Starting with ease of interaction with Amos at the point of sale to the patience exhibited by our able and highly experienced guides, Epa and Joseph along with an outstanding team of porters, cooks and tent folks, our overall experience was simply outstanding. They all came together to constantly motivate and help us through out the way to successfully summit the Uhuru peak one day ahead of schedule. This really helped us with additional time to rest and recuperate after the climb. The accommodations arranged by the company pre- and post-climb at Chanya Lodge in Moshi was equally delightful. The staff out there, the wonderful ambience inside and outside our room, and the restaurant food made us so much feel welcome and at home. We could have never dreamed of accomplishing this feat without their help. Kilimanjaro climb does expose us to very harsh environmental conditions ( extreme temperature changes and UV radiation from the Sun), with steep grades at various points during the climb. It is nearly impossible to simulate such conditions and train effectively for a 15K ft+ climb prior to the climb. Yet, we were able to completely avoid an signs of early fatigue, burnout or high altitude sickness and I would attribute all of that success to Epa, Joseph and the team of porters. I would not hesitate to climb again with these wonderful and highly committed folks, perhaps in about 2 years from now. Thank you for the wonderful experience and hospitality, Migration Venture!!

Great Team of Expert Climbing Guides - It was an incredible 8 day Kilimanjaro trek on the Lemosho trail guided by Eric and Nicholas makes me happy that we decided to go with Migration Venture Africa. This crew had made all logistical preparations for equipment, travel plan, medical supplies, food…… Conquering Kilimanjaro took our mental and physical determination and we could not have done it without this crew. Preparation for each daily section was thorough including briefings, health checks and motivational songs. I still remember those delicious meals prepared by John! I have nothing but praise for Migration Venture Africa

What an amazing Adventure to the Roof of Africa - We were a group of 8 teachers from Lisbon who decide to do Kilimanjaro. We decided to book with Migration Venture Africa after reading their reviews online which were very impressive. Some of the teachers were concerned about the trek, but Aloyce the director assured us that we would have the support of a professional climbing crew with guides, porters and cooks like we see on Everest movies. We opted for the Lemosho route as advised by Aloyce, which was longer but would allow us more time to acclimatize and increase our chances of reaching the summit. Our chief guide Nicholas was the best leader anyone could have asked for. He marshaled his crew and they went above and beyond to ensure we made it to the top. Nicholas was very observant. He did the health checks at night and kept a close eye on us during the climb. We were in peak condition through the whole climb, thanks to Nicholas and team great care. He was a great motivator; encouraging us and led us all successfully to Uhuru Peak. I also want to mention the contribution of Jacob, our cook and his assistant who prepared meals fit for kings. His food kept our energy levels up. The porters deserve commendation for carrying all the supplies and camp equipment and also setting up our tents every afternoon and taking them apart in the mornings. This climb was an experience of a lifetime and I recommend Migration Venture Africa fully.

I had the most amazing trek with Migration Venture Africa - I am so grateful to Migration Venture Africa for taking care of me when I joined a group to trek up Kilimanjaro. I chose to go with Migration Venture because they had a small group going up with my dates and Amos was reasonable with the costs. They took everything very seriously; regular health checks, weighing all the luggage even the one carried by the porters. We had Vitalis as the head guide and he did a splendid job of guiding the group of strangers coming from different cultures to the summit. He is an easygoing and wonderful guide and his experience around the mountain showed through the way he carried himself around without missing anything. The climb was a beautiful experience seeing starting with the rainforest with beautiful waterfalls, monkeys. With each day the scenery changed as we got higher and higher and it was very educative to hear from Vitalis and his team. I am really happy with the service and support that I received from Migration Venture Africa and I recommend them without any reservations

Great Lemosho Climb - I had one of the most remarkable experience during my Kilimanjaro Climb with Migration Ventures. I was a solo climber who joined a group with 3 other climbers and had a really great time. Everything was done so professionally and the crew was very experienced. They must have been up that mountain more than a 50 time because they knew what to do at every particular moment. They took our health very seriously, and had us go through daily oxygen level checks. In particular I was impressed by Vitalis who was the head guide. He coordinated everything so well that we had no problems and I felt that I was in safe hands. We always had hot delicious meals, lots of tea and a clean and comfortable place to sleep. We all reached the Summit of Kilimanjaro and It was such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Migration Venture is fantastic and professional local company and I recommend them without any reservations.

Memorable Trek - We did a seven day trek on the Lemosho route with Migration Venture Africa and this has been the most unforgettable experience of our lives. We arrived in Moshi and we were transferred to Kili Cottages which served as our climbing base. There we had a briefing about our climb and gear/equipment inspection and also introduced to our guide Joseph and assistant guide Mike who were to take care of our climb. The guides are very experienced and have good advice on how to tackle the mountain safely. Also very friendly and full of interesting stories. We had a great cook who kept us well fed during the whole Trek; thanks to his delicious cooking I might have added on a few pounds. Going for the summit was not easy, and we did it at night so that the sunrise found us at the summit. This was an awesome experience that is engrave in my mind and captured in my pics.
