This 4-hour tour will explore and learn all about the serene mangrove habitats, nursery grounds, the iguana sanctuary, marine life, birds and coastal ecology then swim at a beautiful beach.
Beginners are welcome. Includes $10 park conservation fee. (Refreshments provided)
Departure is from our location in Leeward Marina. Transport may be provided from the Grace Bay area at request.
High tide is essential for visiting the mangroves, making departure times vary daily as the tide moves through the day. There are always a couple days a month where the tide is outside of business hours where the trip may not be available.

A third of these islands consist of mangrove habitats. We relish in imparting knowledge to our guests about these remarkable ecosystems and their significance as we paddle through the waterways. Visiting these islands is incomplete without immersing in these tours.

Turtles and Sharks! - Had a great time kayaking the mangroves. A wonderful experience with the kids. Amazing video on our GoPro (submiersible housing) of turtles and juvenille sharks!

Great wildlife adventure!! - Kevin’s was a wonderful guide. It was such a great trip. We saw lots of wildlife. So fun kayaking in the beautiful water. I was thankful they were two person kayaks!! 😄I highly recommend this activity!!

Big Blue Collective is the way to go! - We had a great kayak tour with Kaya. Enjoyed her knowledge and it was very cool seeing the iguanas and sea turtles. Also, our full day charter with Captain Trish was incredible. Hard to beat when you get to swim with a whale. I highly recommend Big Blue Collective.

Awesome kayak experience - Upon arrival we were met by lovely staff, we completed our forms.
We met our guide who told us about the geography of the area he then gave us instruction for first time kayaking. We travelled to the mangroves, our guide Kevin was an informative and engaging guide he pointed out the turtles of which we saw many and a baby lemon shark he told us about the conch shell fish. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend big blue for excursions in TCI .

Don’t let the weather stop you - Our guide “G” was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Despite rain, current and rough, windy conditions she was able to give us a good experience and still safely work in some kayaking.

MANGROVE KAYAK TOUR BLISS - My husband and I are here at the island for our honeymoon and wanted to get up close and personal with the wildlife. Our resort Beaches helped us set up a trip with Big Blue. Ellie was our tour guide and let me tell you, she was AMAZING!!! She knew so much about the island and everywhere she took us was so fascinating. She was also more than happy to answer any of our questions. Try to ask for her if you can. The entire company is so kind and helpful. Please book a trip, you will not regret it! P.S. there were SO MANY turtles!

Grear trip but too many other craft - We loved the idea of this trip, billed as an eco tour. We were there Easter weekend. A kayak across to see iguanas on an isolated island and then through mangroves to see turtles and hopefully baby sharks. I had a vision of sympathetic intrusion. Our guide was great l, only a few people at the iguana island and then we kayaked back and we did see turtles in quiet water before the mangroves. But was then astounded by the amount of other craft, 50 to 100 see-through canoes and paddleboards with other companies all squeezing through mangroves and hovering over the shallow turtle and baby shark area. Some getting into the water. Surely this can't be eco friendly with such a fragile environment. I'm not knocking Big Blue but it's supposed to be a nature reserve. Please preserve it.

Nice value and a pleasant afternoon - Really excellent knowledge of plant life and eco-systems by our guide. It was nice to learn a lot about the history of the region and current issues. Paddling was easy for all members of our family and there was a nice breeze. One small suggestion: perhaps a bit less hearing "I don't mean to lecture, but..." and maybe a bit more on the different birds we were able to see up close. But overall this is really a nice value and a pleasant afternoon.

Best excursion at Turks - Incredible! It was a four-star experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, polite, and very detailed. He knew all about the native plants, animals, and sea life on the island.
