- BoraBoraPearlFarm - The adventure begins with a delightful boat transfer, where the team warmly welcomes guests at the reception pontoon of their hotel or at the Vaitape quay. Upon arrival at motu Taufarii, guests receive an engaging introduction to the captivating history of the Polynesian black pearl and the techniques of pearl farming. Next, guests board the boat to explore, while snorkeling near a coral garden, strings of oysters in their natural habitat. The oysters are submerged to a depth of 1 meter, and with the team’s guidance, guests can browse the lines of oysters and select their own oyster to harvest! The fortunate may even spot manta rays! Returning to motu Taufarii, the team assists in opening the oysters to reveal the precious black pearls. The experience concludes with a tasting of local fruits and fresh drinks in a stunning natural setting, offering breathtaking views of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu. Each guest departs with the pearl they collected, either in a small sand bottle or a velvet pouch. Finally, everyone is transported back to the meeting point.

So much fun, learnt a lot! - This was so much fun! We learnt loads (it’s very educational) and laughed a ton, Manu is one of those rare specimens that crack jokes right and left, while sharing his deep knowledge of pearl farming. Respectful and responsible for the oysters. An experience unique to French Polynesia. 100% recommended. We left with two pearls, an awesome activity.

Insightful and Unique! - This was a great experience! Tahi and Manu were really knowledgeable about Black Pearls that it really made me appreciate them even more when I see them in life. Being able to go to the farm and choose our own oyster to get a peal was just splendid. Thank you to our guides for making this a great experience!

Once in a Lifetime experience! - Wow, what a once in a lifetime experience. Manu and Tahi were amazing tour guides. Hilarious and informative. They made the whole experience extremely engaging and fun. Learning the hard work and process that goes into cultivating the pearls really makes you appreciate the experience. Watching everyone to see if their oysters had pearls in it was like watching a game show. Can’t recommend this tour any more! It was the highlight of our trip to Bora Bora!

Memorable experience - We had an amazing time on that tour! Our host was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We learned a lot about the making of pearls and we got to dive to choose our own oyster. It was a very exciting experience. In the end, the 3 of us got beautiful round and shiny pearls with slightly different colors. I am very excited to make our custom jewerly. It will have special meaning.

Pure Joy! - What a fun and informative experience! First, Manu, Tahi and Hero (sorry if I butchered the spellings) could probably make a lecture on watching paint dry, fun. These guys were so personable and engaging! They seemed to genuinely love what they are doing and that energy is contagious. We were a group of 6 (14 years-47 years) 2 of us were genuinely excited about this excursion when we booked, months before our visit. 4, were happy to go with the flow. All 6 of us left thoroughly impressed by what we learned, and thrilled with our treasure. This tour, by a small, local business is not to be missed! My younger teens are not generally excited by educational opportunities while on vacation, but we all absolutely loved this experience! My mind is still blown by the Mississippi River’s involvement in the Bora Bora Pearl Farm operations. Thanks for a wonderful experience! It’s definitely a core memory.

Awesome pearl diving in Bora Bora - Manu and his team were amazing! I was nervous to snorkel in 60 ft of water but Manu helped me hang onto the life saver so I could pick an oyster! Book this adventure! You won’t regret it!

Kids Friendly and highly recommend - We had a truly wonderful experience on the pearl farm tour! The entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. What really stood out was how kind and patient they were with our young child. They took the time to help him snorkel safely and confidently, making sure he could fully enjoy the experience alongside the adults. We highly recommend it for families looking for a meaningful and memorable activity in Bora Bora. Thank you again to the wonderful team for creating such a special experience for us!

Amazing experience and hilarious team! - My sister and I had the most incredible experience. The team was knowledgeable and super accommodating. We were a bit nervous about the snorkeling and they were kind to let us hold onto a raft and swim with them. The team was also hilarious which made the experience even more fun. 1000000% recommend
