Pizzica experience is designed to help you learn and immerse yourself in the dance and traditions of Salento’s pizzica, a dance that has gained global fame. The session will be conducted at a site dating back to the 1400s, sited in an old courtyard at the heart of Lecce’s downtown area. A glass of traditional Salento wine will also be provided for your enjoyment. A proficient pizzica dancer will guide you through the correct dance steps. You will have the opportunity to play the tambourine crafted by Lecce’s own artisans.

Amazing Experience!! - I had the pleasure of immersing myself in a traditional dance class in Salento and the experience was nothing short of magical!
Enrica (teacher) was amazing!! Thanks to her dedication and expertise, I not only learned the dance steps but also gained a deeper understanding of the cultural significance and heritage behind each movement.

Fun, a lot! - The pizzica is a very engaging dance and our teacher, Enrica Sparasci, was excellent for an hour: she taught us the fundamental steps, danced them with us, explained the meaning and use of this Salento dance. All with big smiles in a cheerful atmosphere. We were three students, we worked hard. we had a lot of fun. I definitely recommend it. P.s. they write that you can dance until you are 100!!! I confirm, I don't have a hundred, but I'm a senior and yes, you can dance at any age.
