Wonderful Wine Tour from Lecce - We had a great day with Stefano from Salento Experiences, exploring the local wine regions of Leverano and Manduria to taste the Primitivo and Negroamaro wines. Stefano offered to pick us up near where we were staying, which was greatly appreciated. We visited a family run winery in the morning, following the process of wine production around the facility, even saw the bottling line in action. We then got to try their fantastic wines. We purchased a few bottles to take back to our apartment, including a new "Orange" coloured wine they had just started producing. We had a really nice lunch at a local restaurant and then visited a wine Coop in the afternoon. They had a museum down in what used to be the cellars, which had a great collection of old tools and other items, all associated with wine making in the region. It was nice to see, rather than following the production process again. We then sampled their wines, which were also very good. Overall, a very enjoyable day! I would highly recommend the tour if you are in the Lecce area.

A must-do for wine and tradition lovers. - Excellent tour, with visits to the 2 important local wineries, the museum and a typical local lunch. Very well organized and everyone is really nice and the wines are exceptional!

Wonferful experience in Puglia - I strongly recommend this tour to those that love wine and good food. Our guide Stefano took us to two very interesting wineries in Leveranto and Manduria. At Leveranto we visited the Conti Zecca winery that produces excellent red and white wines. Our hostess Giulia was very nice and attentive showing the winery facilities and explaining to us all the steps of wine production. We tasted three excellent wines including one with the negroamaro grape that is typical of this region. Afterwards, we went to Manduria and had a delicious lunch at the Messapica trattoria where the kind owner named Angelo prepared a meal with many different typical dishes of this region. Finally, we visited a winery in Manduria that is formed by the association of farmers (cooperativa). It has a very interesting museum that was showed to us by the hostess Catia that told us the cooperative’s history as well as many details about the formerly way of life of the farmers. Then, we tasted three delicious wines made with the emblematic primitivo grape that is typical of Manduria. We are very grateful to Stefano that allowed us to have this wonderful experience in Puglia.

Aussies in Puglia 2023 - The drive to the two vineyards through the countryside was made interesting by Stefano. Puglia is quite flat so his commentary was welcome. Productori do Manduria and Conti Zecca had excellent wines and the stop for lunch @ Trattoria Messapica was great.

Amazing day in Lecce - We spent a wonderful day with Stefano learning about the people, food and wine of the area where he grew up! From the moment he greeted us at our hotel to the minute he dropped us off Stefano patiently and enthusiastically answered our questions about Italy in general, Puglia and the Lecce area while engaging us with questions of his own about where we were from and what we liked about our travels in Italy. We were introduced to two fabulous wineries in addition to being treated to lunch featuring the foods of Salento. An amazing day in a beautiful part of Puglia.

Top quality local wines - Our guide, Stefano, was a delight. He is friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Our visit to two different vineyards, with a delicious lunch between them, were educational. We especially enjoyed walking through an underground museum in Manduria beneath the winery. Thank you Stefano.
