Located at the most southwestern point of Mauritius, you’ll ascend to the memorial cross of Le Morne Brabant Mountain (A UNESCO world heritage site), under the watchful eye of our experienced local mountaineer committed to ensuring your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. During the journey witness the unfolding of the day’s first light followed by a breathtaking sunrise, its golden hues a spectacle to behold, uniquely experienced at this hour of the day.
The hike comprises several sections of rock-scrambling and climbing that can be managed by participants with minimal or no mountaineering experience. While on the hike, learn about the distinct ecosystem of the island, the legacy of the mountain, and the cultural nuances of Mauritius from a qualified local mountain guide. Keep an eye out for the ‘Boucle d’Oreille,’ also known as Trochetia Boutoniana, which is the endemic national flower of Mauritius.

Meet your guide outside the Slave Route Monument in Le Morne. Stay in your vehicle and follow your guide to the start point of the mountain trail. You are kindly requested to be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the start time in order not to miss your slot.

Great hike without the crowds! - Definitely recommend doing the sunrise hike with Kevin. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable and made the climb up enjoyable for everyone.
Starting off in the dark in the early hours of the morning was 100% worth it to have the hill to yourselves and beat the crowds. We had time at the top for plenty of photos (Kevin takes a lot for you) before heading down. That's when we saw why it was worth going early with Kevin - lots of groups coming up, probably 50+ people.
If you want to experience the great views and scenery without the crowds, get up early and go with Kevin!

Truly a once in a lifetime experience! - Had an amazing experience with our guide Kevin! We went up Le Mourne at dawn and it was the most beautiful scenery, truly a once in a lifetime experience. Kevin was a great guide! Very methodical and made everyone feel sage, even those who were a bit afraid of hights. We learned a lot about Mauritius history, flora and fauna and we got the most memorable adventure.

Awesome hiking experience - No better way to start off the day with an 5am hike on top of Le Morne Mountain! Kevin does an awesome job motivating the group and telling about Mauritian history and nature. 10/10 would do again!

Kevin is the best guide to hike le morne mountain - This hike may not be easy for all. It involves climbing up hills just like rock climbing using hands. A few sections of the hike can get harder. After hiking the first section and almost close to the second section my wife thought about giving up and staying where we were. Kevin our guide was very helpful and motivated us to finish the hike and reach the top of the mountain. We were a bit slow but Kevin ensured we were not left behind and took break when necessary. He took our pictures and videos. He is very professional and guides us on where to put our hands, and how to lean body against the mountain so we easily climb.
I was surprised to finish our hike on time even though we took frequent stops to catch a breath.
I would highly recommend Kevin to be your guide for climbing this mountain.

Amazing climbing - Kevin, our Guide, is so attentive and sensitive, he pays attention to all paticipants. He takeswtime to Tell the story of Le Morne during the tour. In addition to the magnigicent impressions, you also get an impression of the history. Kevin is a responsible Guide.

If you’re thinking about it, do it! - Kevin was simply the best guide - responsive and communicative from the time of booking til the very end. Our hike was moved by a couple of days due to rain, and it was for the best given it was still slippery in parts. Kevin has climbed Le Morne plenty of times, and his experience showed - he knew the best routes and best sides of the steeper climbs… and he also knew the best spots for some great photos of each individual and the group! It definitely put my mind at ease seeing his knowledge and confidence. I am not an experienced hiker nor a climber, and it was manageable - though grippy footwear, water and a hat are a must, as well as some level of fitness! Kevin brought us to the summit (before any other groups of the day, which made all the difference when there isn’t that much space at the top) and back down in around 4.5 hours including a 30min break at the top. Thank you so much, Kevin - if I decide to do this hike again, it will definitely be with you!

Impressive hike and great guide - Probably the most impressive activity in Mauritius. The climbing up the hill is much fun and easy to do with the help of the guide. The views from top are amazing. You almost don't want to go down anymore. Tatiana was very friendly and helpful during the booking and our guide Mathieu was just great!
