Good way to get overview of city - City neighborhoods exploration was great! Let us see what we wanted to go and visit. I highly recommend this if you have the time.

Easy way to see Nice and enjoy a bit of sunshine - We did the whole tour without hopping on or off! It was a nice way to get out to see somewhere beyond Nice.
The little snippets of information as you travel were interesting. ( very similar to the train commentary!)

An easy way to see and get around the city - Lots of convenient stops or just take the full ride on its own to see the city and learn of its history, with its audio recording. Sitting up top lends for great photos of the city.

Turned out okay, no thanks to Viator! - My only complaint is that Viator was almost impossible to contact to find out where we were to catch the bus. Luckily we found out ourselves, but only from the local tourist guide & when we arrived on shore on one of the ship’s tenders.

Nice HOHO Bus Tour - Certainly not grande - Never on time and left us stranded at the Port when it didn't stop. We had to find our own back (and pay) to the airport area.

First time and Never again - It was very difficult getting the busdriver to believe that we had prepaid the tickets Even when we showed him the confirmation. He made a phonecall to his boss, and when he heard it was the company Viator he just sighed and said NO! An further: the bus stops were not marked and difficult to find.

Look for Small Sign on No Parking Street Sign Near Opera House for 1st Stop Pickup - 1st -it took great effort to locate bus signage for boarding. Le Grand sticker is place on a “No Parking” sign. Very challenging to find. Once bus arrives. The driver places a large sign. Too late for people that arrive a location and unsure we’re in the right place. It was a scavenger hunt.
2nd Unable to ever reach a live person to clarify 1st stop time. Information on website notes 10:00a.m., and phone recording notes the same. However, the driver indicated, March is off season and 1st pickup is at 11:00. If that’s the case, please update recording and website.
3rd The bus ride itself was fast. 60 minutes versus 90 minutes.
Two stars due to frustration with time and location. Do better providing this information unless, “We don’t Care” is the motto.

Bad experience with hop on hop off at Nice - We bought from Viator without details stop or routes. We thought when I booked there will be confirmation with the details. But none. We can find from googling for the routes. So when the day came, we chose from Cathedral area. However, there’s no clear information or signage where we need to stop or wait for the bus. We walked more than 1 hour, chasing the bus and asked to more than 7 local people around the Cathedral area. We are tourists here, how they expected us to know the exactly bus stop without clear information? So when we finally find the tourist information office and asked them, the time almost end and we finally only took 1 around without stop or drop off in one place.
Luckily I still can contact Viator but with different people in chat. I think Viator need to select the tour operators or check the completeness information in the apps as reference so easier and help customers to decide to book.

Buyer beware for sure - It is challenging to find the stops, so that's frustration #1. The buses are supposed to run every 45 minutes. We waited over an hour and finally gave up to just walk around the port. I requested a refund through Viator, but they have yet to reply. Nice is such a lovely city!! Profoundly disappointed by this outcome. I'm sure they mean well, I just think they are bad with communicating with their guests.

TERRIBLE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME - ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND A WASTE OF MONEY! The driver was this miserable, crabby man that talked on his phone and texted on his phone almost the entire time of DRIVING the bus. The prerecorded comments about the sites as you passed by them were lame, and there were sooooo many more things that we passed by and there was no information about them. The recording would mention one thing, and there were a dozen things to see and hear about, but there was no information about most of them. And the things the recording did talk about was not the most interesting of things to decide to share with us. Don't waste your money. This was the only thing we did while in France that I didn't like.
