Recommend the dirt bike ride and guide! - The tour was great! Booking through trip advisor they reached out quickly to gather skill level, ask if we needed gear rental, etc. I ended up deciding to do a 4-wheeler instead of the dirt bike as I hadn’t ridden a bike in a while. They also brought an extra one for my husband in case he changed his mind! They are very big on safety - emphasis on not doing more than you are able/comfortable. Our guide was Ryan, and he’s also who picked us up at the Mandalay Bay. We got to ride across all sorts of terrain and he let us pace the ride. My husband was a little rusty so there was some stalling out but don’t be discouraged if that’s the vehicle you want to ride, there’s no pressure either way and everyone was very chill. It was a lot of fun and we’d do it again!

Wow, what a great day! - The scenery, it is so different than anything east of the Mississippi or Europe and you don't get a feeling of the landscape driving through on the road. The weather was bright and breezy so the dust blew away. The trails were freshly groomed so a bit sandy but the washboard was minimal. The trail was just challenging enough that you had to pay attention which was difficult because you wanted to look around too. The staff was laid back but on point, all concerns were addressed, the bikes were great and forgiving. Everyone in my group was smiling and excited after the ride. This turned out to be a must do experience. Thanks to everyone who made this available.

Epic Dirt Bike Tour - While visiting Las Vegas for a couple of days with a friend I booked the dirt bike tour. I stayed in the Luxor and the pick up point of the complimentary transfer was at the Mandalay so that was convenient. As I did not have any gear with me I booked for the additional costs of 30$ the total gear package, Helmet, gloves, goggles, pants, shirt, socks, boots, knee & chest protector and little backpack. On the drive to the starting point the transfer van stopped at a gas station for a sanitary stop as the starting point has no toilet. Arriving at the starting point is was not more than a point in the dessert a +/-30min drive out of Vegas. At the starting point the equipment was standing ready. For the group I was with 6 quads, 2 razors and one bike. The bike was a 5 speed, 450cc Honda CRF.4 stroke with automatic start (and if necessary a kickstart). The bike was in good condition. The rental grear a bit worn-out but good enough for the purpose and fitted perfect. After the safety talk and change in to gear it was time to go. After a couple of rounds at the starting point to get used to the bike it was time to go. As I was the only one on the dirt bike I had the choice to have a solo ride with a guide or ride along with the razors. I decided to ride along with the razors. Well driving was challenging I have to say. I did not ride a dirt bike for about 25 years...so a little riders rust... The 1st part was over loose sand paths which causes some fishtailing. Throttle up! The 2nd part was over the dry lake bed. Throttle open to the max! The 3rd part was over rocky_sandy path which shaked my nuts off. At an in between stop we got acquainted with a dessert turtle. The next stop was after a part uphill to a nice scenery point. After a bit longer break the last part was in one stretch back to the starting point. During the last part the tour guide opened up his throttle pace went up till a point that it was out of my comfort zone. I did not dare to keep up with the razors. Kept my comfortable speed and met the rest of the group at the starting point. The last part of the trip was a mixture of loose sand , rocky and washboard track. The owner of American Adventure Tours checked a couple of times during the trip if all is OK. If fallen back or missed a turn the tour guide stopped to catch up with the rest of the group. At the end of the 2 hour tour one could freshen up with wet wipes. Quite necessary as the adventure is dusty. The safe distance between riders is the same distance needed to get visibility. During the ride I did not have any tine to enjoy the scenery but the frequent stops we perfect to lower the adrenaline level, drink water (it's hot in the dessert) and enjoy the beautiful scenery. For me this dirt bike tour was the high lite of my Vegas trip. Epic experience, the adrenaline really make me feel alive! Choosen tracks / speed is based on skill level participants. For me, a 47 year old "slightly" over weighed man with riders rust and limited dirt bike experience it was perfect. Pushed my self to my max but never out of control. I am glad I joined this tour. Thanks guys! till next time!

Exhilarating desert off road experience! A+ professionals. - AWESOME. EXPERIENCE. Thrilling, exhilarating, and extreme! The course was technically challenging and the bikes they provide are serious machines that really perform. These guys are absolute professionals, from the shuttle driver to the safety briefing instructor, to the tour guide - everyone we came in contact with was knowledgeable, courteous, warm, respectful and went out of their way to make our experience the best that it could be. Ryan, Cody and our tour guide Sam were awesome, creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere while always vigilant about meeting needs or providing support when indicated. We jump out of airplanes for a living, and these guys were still able to get our adrenaline pumping and push us right up to our limits - without exceeding - for a heart racing, hair-raising adventure in the desert that we will never forget, all while maintaining their commitment to safety. 100% will do again and highly recommend.
