Highlights
- SunBuggy Fun Rentals - Check in at our Fabrication and Training facility where we custom build your off road thrill machines! You will be fitted with safety gear, watch a brief orientation video, and have a chance to use the restroom before heading to the Dune Buggy staging area only about a mile away. You will also have the opportunity to tour the fabrication department where we hand craft the world famous SunBuggy Desert Racers! Lockers are available free of charge to store anything you don’t wish to loose out in the desert.

The Amargosa sand dunes present a challenge due to their towering heights and steep slopes, making the conquest of many of the larger ones an elusive, yet enjoyable pursuit. They stand as the highest independent dunes in North America! An intriguing feature of these dunes are the expansive ‘bowls’ that form amidst the larger sand mounds. The thrill lies in plunging downhill, only to swiftly climb on the opposite side, repeating the process. This is a guided exploration tour on off-road terrain:

A tour of the designated play area around the dunes will be provided.

Important information pertaining to the safeguarding of the Big Dunes Beetle will be shared, outlining the restricted areas.

Our guides will demonstrate how to maneuver the buggies across the tricky terrain of sand razorbacks and how to steer clear of getting trapped in the deep, soft sand.

Afterwards, you have the liberty to travel around independently, with our staff on stand-by for support and to ensure your journey remains safe.

- Drivers under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult (Photo ID will be required)
- Minimum Dune Buggy Drivers age is 16 years with a valid driver’s license

Definitely do the dune buggys - This place is awesome! Not only do you get picked up at your hotel by the knowledgeable, cool and safe driver Mike bu also my tour guide Josh expertly guided us thru a super fun course. The whole team is safely first and fun second! I will definitely be coming back.

Great employees - Laina, my bus driver was really nice she gave us snacks and water. Claude the instructor who helps with safety gear was really friendly as well, great convo and helped get me settup!

Dune buffy - Our drives Michae and Claude were incredibly personable and made sure we had a great experience. Our guide Josh was amazing. We had a fun time and felt safe and protected. We would highly recommend.

Definitely recommend!! - Emmett was a great driver and host. He took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Shout out for the snacks!
Elijah, the tour guide for the dune buggies was awesome! He took us up some major hills that was pure adrenaline. Would highly recommend this place!!

A great way to get off the strip and have a lot of fun! - We had so much fun ridding dune buggies out in the Nevada desert! They picked us up from our hotel on the strip (Paris), and took us out to the site. We were fitted with helmets and goggles. We got to watch the instruction video on the shuttle out to the desert location, where the dune buggies were waiting with our guide. I wish they had a dune buggy that was built for someone my size (I'm a 5'3" tall female), but they were able to give me some cushions to help me reach the pedals and the starter switch. Riding around the dunes was very fun and I appreciated that they didn't baby us, we went fast but the guide did slow down when he saw I was not keeping up and sped up when he saw I was getting close. Also, Harry is my personal hero. He found my wallet after it fell from a pocket during the ride. He got it to me before I even had time to panic about it being gone. He saved my entire vacation because without my wallet I would have been up a creek without a paddle. Everyone was very friendly and it was a very pleasant experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Don't do the Amargosa Dune Tour - These dune buggies are not meant for the tall sand desert dunes. Terrible service and customer service. We paid over $4k for a trip for them to show up late, bring broken buggies and run out of gas. Been trying to get ahold of customer service for almost a month and they are always 'unavailable'.
