LAS VEGAS – SEDONA

Chapel of the Holy Cross - We start the day travelling across the Mojave Desert, and head up the Colorado Plateau and historic route 66, before arriving to Sedona. Known as the jewel of the desert and considered as one of the most beautiful places in America. Drive the breathtaking scenic Oak Creek Canyon that descends 2000 feet (610 meters) to the valley floor. We stop for photos of the red rocks and surroundings at the Oak Creek Canyon overlook, and the slide rock state park. Enjoy a lunch break in Sedona where you can browse authentic Indian arts and crafts stores together with unique boutiques and galleries.

After our break we head out to the surrounding desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross ( self-guided visit using local stuttle service), and enjoy panoramic views of the Sedona red rock formations including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral rock.

In the late afternoon we depart the Sedona area to Flagstaff for overnight.

Beautiful Natural Realms - Amazing and inspiring natural realms, especially in contrast to over-the-top man-made Las Vegas. Antelope Canyon was as beautiful as expected---red sandstone lit by some sunlight (not best sun angles in the morning but still inspiring). Surprising was diverse rock formations and cliffs in Monument Valley. Empire Tour guide (Lorenzo) was great and informative---multilingual group with many Italians. Interesting multicultural group.

Beautiful tour of sacred land! - We had a great tour! Our favorite spot was probably Antelope Canyon - just stunning! We were part of a group of about 10 travelers. Our tour guide was Lorenzo, and our driver as Feris. Both great people safely leading us across many hours of travel and tours. Lorenzo is multilingual and was able to converse all of the members of tour trip, adding humor, fun music, and insights to every stop. Feris was kind enough even to drive my Dad and I one night to a nearby restaurant after we watched the Super Bowl with him in the hotel lobby area! This tour includes many great sprinklings of areas in the Southwest, and now makes me want to go back to visit many of these sites for a longer stay. We are really glad we had this experience!

Greatest Tour - Great tour, highly recommended Really enjoyed the tour. Several great points about it are as follows. Tour contents: the tour was well organized and we got to see everything we wanted on schedule. We love it that we got enough time for each place because the tour was three-day-long. Tour guides and the driver: our guides Lorenzo and Masa were really knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful. They know everything about the places, they always thought about what would be best for us guests, and they never failed to entertain us. The driver Feris was also very friendly, needless to mention his driving skills. The price: the tour was affordable for us international travelers, and was worth twice the actual price. It is incredible that they offer this tour this inexpensively. There is no complaint from us at all. They wouldn’t let you down.

An unforgettable tour - This tour should be called Highlights of Sedona and Monument Valley. I was thinking I would be staying a night in Sedona and a night in Monument valley but we stayed in Motel 6 in Page, AZ. I had heard the the sunrise and sunset in Monument Valley were spectacular which was not possible. Sedona is a lovely place surrounded by Red rocks and people should stay at least a night. One can meditate here and also do a retreat. Just 2 hours here is not enough. Monument Valley was a great place to see and one and half hours was not enough in the jeep tour. A bumpy ride in some places in the open top jeep. Horseshoe Bend was nice to see. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to go from parking lot and coming back will definitely take around 30 minutes or less because the way uphill when you are back. If you take small children, be prepared Antelope Canyon tour is fantastic. It lasts for around an hour or less and below ground level. In some places only a single person can move and you have to watch out for corners. Also visited Valley of Fire state park and Lake Powell. Remember one must have a good pair of walking shoes, hat and carry water with them everywhere People who cannot stand too much heat have to be very careful. Tipping is a must for the tour guides and driver. If and when i come back here, I will stay a night in Sedona and a night in Monument Valley or Kayenta which is 21 miles away.

A way to see Az + antelope canyon easily DOES NOT INCLUDE GRAND CANYON - Fantastic scenery however I wish there was more of an emphasis on explanations of each place rather than being dropped off to shop. Very long periods on bus.
