The meeting will take place in the island’s core, amidst the stunning mountains above the clouds. Upon arrival, participants will meet their guide and receive a backpack containing all the essentials for a genuine mountain adventure: a mat, blanket, and headlamp. The journey begins with a hike through the forest, where the local guide will share insights into the island’s geology. The hike leads to one of Tejeda’s most iconic spots, Ventana del Nublo. Here, participants will witness a breathtaking sunset with views of Roque Nublo and Teide, while discussing basic astronomy concepts as the sky darkens. Following this, there will be an opportunity to observe the night sky, identifying constellations, planets, and occasionally the Milky Way.
Snacks and hot beverages will be provided as participants gaze at the sky. Telescopes are not part of this activity; instead, participants will learn to interpret the sky independently, enhancing their nightly stargazing experiences.
