Highly recommended - I did a 2 day (5 dive) advanced SSI certification with Scotty in Bohol. Ron my instructor was fantastic, patient, very knowledgeable and the rest of the staff were excellent. Can not recommend Ron any higher. They also arranged pick up from my hotel daily.

Best place to get certified! - We did 3 ssi specialty courses with and a day safari. Contact with Peter via email was smooth and prompt. He was also our night specialty instructor. He’s a great teacher and gave us tons of suggestions to work on to be a better buddy team. Alex was our instructor for the deep and nitrox specialty. He’s knowledgeable and very patient. He helped us with our buoyancy in a quick pool session and later in the water. We did some fun dives with Noah and Bernie, who both are very kind and patient when I had equalization issues. They pointed out some great marine life during the dives. It was the best diving experience we’ve had so far. Great diving but also great service by all team members working there. They hold the highest standards. Highly recommend this place! We will be back!

Professional and accommodating to our schedule - We spend 3 days at Scotty's, with a rough schedule before coming there. Then, Peter and his staff were very flexible in tailoring the schedule to our preferences over the 3 days. In the end, we had a great time doing 8 dives in which we also learnt a lot of new things about diving. We did our deep, night & limited visibility, and nitrox SSI specialties at Scotty's as well as some fun dives. The teaching in the courses was excellent, with us benefiting from the perspectives of two knowledgeable instructors, Alexei and Peter, and the wonders of the Shangri-La Marine Sanctuary. On the 2nd day, we made a fun dive with Noah who showed us the underwater beauty at Olango. It was fun to meet him being German and us being Dutch. On our last day, Bernie was our dive guide, who accommodated our preferences perfectly and was a superb guide both under and above the sea.

What a great place! - I booked my advanced open water at Scottys action sports with Peter, who was a great help organising everything. Noah, my instructor was fantastic. He was a very patient teacher and made the learning great fun. We had some awesome dives on the course, and after. As a matter of fact, everyone I met here was very accommodating and helped me enjoy the experience. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another 4 dives to fill in the rest of my holiday. I will definitely be back here when I visit Cebu again.. Thanks for an awesome experience guys!

Best dive instructor ever! - My son is 10 years old and really looked forward to do his Padi Open Water Course. So we decided to go to Scotty Dive at Shangri-La and it couldn't have been better. Prior to our trip, I contacted the diving school, as I had some bad experiences with lousy dive instructors in the past in other parts of Asia. I really wanted to be sure he was in the hands of a good dive instructor. It couldn't have been better. Lisa Barker was the best dive instructor

Nitrox SSI - Just completed the Nitrox SSI course and couldn’t of been happier with the skill of the tutor, very relaxed, fun and informative. Went at a good pace for me. Peter the manager is welcoming with genuine smiles, with Jordan the instructor being a great instructor!

PADI Open Water Course - I really enjoyed doing PADI’s open water course here with Jeff. He was very professional and made sure I was enjoying the experience while progressing to the certification. The centre was well-equipped and the instructors were all helpful. If you do this course, it is worth following the advice to do as much of the online learning as you can before you arrive.

Great Experience by an Great Instructor - I took up the free-diving course under instructor Dave and Christophe. Both were really professional in doing all the necessary steps and procedures. They were patient with me and did not push me when I can no longer do it. They took things slowly, ensuring our safety and comfort in the open waters. Christophe was very kind in teaching me all the proper techniques. And Dave was also very helpful in the pool training course. The facilities were good and clean with free water and towel. And good bonus that it's in Shangri-La so you have a nice place to relax afterwards.

SSI Advance Adventurer Diving Course - I can't speak for the entire team but based on 2 employees of Scotty's, Herbert Alvin & Peter Mawby, I'll have to say that the level of service and friendliness my partner and I received was, and will be, impeccable. Ever since the day I called to pre-book the course ahead of my trip, Alvin has been ever-so friendly and helpful and answered all my queries. Unlike certain companies/dive-centers, he assured me that there isn't any hidden fees (e.g. equipment rental) and the stated price includes everything a diver should need throughout the duration of the course. Peter warmly greeted us, as Alvin was away at another site, when we arrived. He briefed us on what to expect of the course, verified that my partner and I had our open waters certification and assisted us with the necessary registrations. Everyday when we reported to the the dive center for our training, we were greeted with big, warm smiles. The dive center is the cleanest that I've been to, equipment are very well maintained that they practically look new! To Alvin: It has been our greatest pleasure to have you as our instructor, to have you guide us along throughout the course and the greatest honor to have your name etched into our dive logs as our dive buddy. Thank you very much and we sincerely hope to cross path with you again in future. Once again, thank you very much HAL To Peter: Your hospitality and service is on a league of it's own, one above the rest and it should be set as an industry standard. With that said, I can understand why the level of service we received from everyone at Scotty's has been nothing short of great. Keep up the great work and never cease to improve! (though I have absolutely no idea which area needs improvement) To whoever is reading this: We might have come during the week where everyone was in a cheery mood, but for 4 days straight? I do not think that is a coincidence. Regardless, do keep in mind that we're all humans and we do have our own bad days, I can assure you that the level of professionalism and friendliness is definitely one above the rest and if by chance, your experience isn't great, I urge you to please give them another chance. SSI Advanced Adventurer diving course - I had my advanced adventurer course with Dive Scotty at Shangri-La. Well, the resort is amzingly good, and the diving centre is not below expectations ;) Both the atmosphere and the people working there are both very friendly and highly professional. International environment. Diving gears are OK and all was sorted out in perfect safety standards. I would like to thank my instructor “Will Styles” who did a great job accomodating my requests and taking care of my training program. A big applause for him! Was just fun, thanks!
