Lesdi village culture tour - This was by far one of the best cultural experiences. We surly enjoyed the whole experience and we appreciate the people.

A happy, musical educational tour. - An unexpected private tour as I was the only guest! Fantastic driver and guide Simba drove me in a luxury van to Lesedi Cultural village and stayed with me the entire tour. He was warm, engaging, friendly and helpful. The tour itself is interactive, educational and great fun. I learned all about the 5 major tribes of S Africa, their similarities and differences. I could have stayed at the jembe lesson all day! The singing and dancing at the end of the tour left me with a lilt in my step and a huge smile on my face. I’d highly recommend this for all ages. It does involve walking along uneven pathways and standing while explanations are given so folks with reduced or limited mobility may be challenged.

A visit to the Lesedi... - A visit to the Lesedi village was a nice way to see and experience something new! The dancers were amazing and you can support locals by buying some hand made souveniers after the village tour :) Solly was the best guide ever! Super friendly and I learned so much of the local cultures when we drive to the village and back.

Great tour! - I learned so much about the different tribes at the Lesedi Cultural Village. Everyone was welcoming and kind and answered any questions that our group had. They were accommodating and put on a great presentation!

Truly South African - Our family visited the center and did the tour. For this review I'll focus on the food experience. The food was delicious! The restaurant décor was cleverly done. The food tasted like home - nourishing, flavorful and truly South African. I am so proud of how our cuisine is celebrated!

The Tribes - Solly, our guide, was really informative when he introduced all five tribes of South Africa prior to us arriving at Lesedi. This knowledge made the experience in the cultural village more meaningful.

Very professional tour guides - Great cultural experience. The tour guides were extremely accommodating, professional & knowledgeable.

Cultural experience - Another fabulous day with Solly. He provided interesting commentary on the drive and he looked after us well. When asking for advice he provided input without pressuring us one way or another. He didn’t rush us and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience.

A Very Interesting Cultural Experience. Highly recommend. - Unfortunately, our tour guide was an hour late in picking us up, and only after a phone call to the company, Solly, did he arrive. He was very apologetic and told us he first went to the wrong hotel and then got caught up in traffic. No point in getting upset...let's go! As it turned out the tour in the village had not long started when we arrived, so we didn't miss out on much. Our driver was very chatty and competent, and we very much enjoyed the day. In the village itself, we visited different tribal dwellings and I had expected that each one would have its own souvenirs on sale. This was not the case; we were conducted through the whole tour and then enjoyed a wonderful drumming and dance show (the performers were so athletic) followed by a very tasty buffet lunch which was at our own cost but not expensive. After that we had some free time to browse the souvenirs before our return drive of about an hour to our accommodation.

Everyone at Lesedi was so... - Everyone at Lesedi was so lovely, but the overall experience was much more touristy, tacky, and commercial than I’d had anticipated.
