Jungle trek 4days 3nights (including stay in Bukit Lawang) with many monkey sightings! Recommend! - We were picked up at the airport in Medan by our driver who took us to Bukit Lawang. It took some 4 hours including dinner and toilet breaks. The guest house (Fido Dido) in Bukit Lawang was nice and clean served us well for the 2 nights we spent there. Be aware that the windows have openings, which can't be closed, so the river stream can be heard quite loudly. Also every Saturday, I believe, there is live music at the venue across the guest house, which can be heard very loudly as well, they played till 4am. Unfortunately they played on the evening of our first night there. In the morning we had included breakfast on the restaurant, which belongs to the guest house. Our guides Jhony and Randy met us there and we went for our jungle adventure. Jhony and Randy knew a lot about local flora and fauna and explained to us any interesting facts about the jungle and especially orangutan. We were lucky and on both days of the track we saw 2 couples of orangutan mother with a baby! We also saw many Maquaqs and Thomas Langur! The food provided on the treck was amazing, and it was so much we had hard time finishing it! There was also enough water provided together with what we carried ourselves. The camp in which we slept in the jungle was very cosy, nearby a river. We slept on quite comfy mats under a roof and surrounded by a mosquito net. At the end of the trek we rafted back to Bukit Lawang, was great fun! After all we enjoyed the whole package very much and would recommend! Big thanks to Jhony and Randy!

Unforgettable jungle adventure with amazing guide Rizaldo! - This trip was literally the best thing I've done so far. It was a real adventure! At times, it was tough sometimes with all the climbing but it is amazing to see the jungle with al the wild animals. Totally worth it! My tourguide in the jungle, Rizaldo, was so so kind, happy and helpful. He always had our best interests at heart and it was really nice getting to know him. We shared so many experience and I really loved him. A journey I'll never forget!

orangutan jungle trekking - We had four amazing days in the jungle. Everything was really well organized, and we got to see orangutans and many other monkeys and animals—not just briefly, but we could observe them for a longer time. The food was absolutely delicious. The two guides were not only super funny, but they also always responded to our needs, including helping us during the trekking, especially on the descent. Overall, it was super exhausting and we’ve never sweated so much—but it was totally worth it.

A MUST! - Could not recommend more! The whole trip was organised brilliantly from pick up to drop off. The tour itself was an amazing experience. The wildlife we saw was incredible, the jungle was beautiful and our guides Havizd and Hendri were fantastic. A particular highlight was spending the night in the jungle playing cards with Havizd surrounded by the sounds of the night. A massive shout out to chef Ram who cooked gorgeous food each evening and morning. Worth every penny, could not recommend more. If you want to guarantee a great experience then make sure to request Havizd and Hendri!

Best experience I think … EVER!!! - What an incredible experience!! We were lucky enough to spot 10 orangutan as well as various other monkeys/gibbons. Our guides were excellent and provided us with the most incredible food the whole journey. It was a lot of fun and a lot of sweating so the cool stream/pool by the accommodation was beautiful. We played cards with our guides in the evening with which was a laugh and finishing up the tour with the tube ride was hilarious! All of this as well as the transfer from our hotel in Medan made the trip worth every penny. Make sure you bring a plastic bag to put your wet smelly stuff in (it rains a lot in the jungle) cause you don’t want your bag smelling! You can pay for laundry at the accommodation provided to you in Bukit Lawang😁😁

As Axel rose said WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE - An unforgettable adventure! We encountered a remarkable variety of wildlife, with the highlight being the incredible orangutans. The food and snacks were delicious, adding to the overall experience. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and expertly answered all our questions, enhancing our understanding of the surroundings. The campsite was comfortable and offered breathtaking views, making for a truly memorable stay.

10 out of 10! The best jungle trek - It's an incredible experience 10 out of 10! Apart from the beauty of jungles and animals you come across your way while trekking, the team is fantastic too. Njune (team leader) is a super host, he is there to help with anything you might need, or to answer any questions, regardless if it is aboutvtrekkingvit just staying in thr village. Team if tour guides are super professional, they know the jungle like their home and will take you exactly where you can see the best spots to observe orangutans.
