Owner operated tours ALWAYS better - Probably the best food tour we’ve experienced (out of several across the U.S.). An excellent blend of food and local history. Seven kinds of food and alcoholic beverage sampling was about right. Then afterwards revisited favorites.

Great people, great tour - This tour was awesome. Debbie was very knowledgeable of the history of the area, but still kept the atmosphere light and fun. The variety of food was fantastic (especially the brisket eggroll and chai tea ice cream) . Definitely would recommend

Must take tour!! - Must take tour!!! Deb was just outstanding. She is so knowledgeable about Lancaster and the amazing history of the city. The food was terrific and way more then we needed. We went to so many different restaurants and went back the next day to a couple of them because we loved the food so much and would not have gone on our own. We had a fantastic tour and were thrilled the other couple cancelled. It was the best private tour you could ask for. Having said that she would be great if there was 20 people on the tour. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Deb is and her tour is a reflection of her. Amazing food, great history and a wonderful person to spend time with.

Central Market Sherpa - Debbie was awesome! So knowledgeable about local history and, of course, food!! Glad we had her to guide us through Central Market — that place is overwhelming on weekends! The three hours just flies by — it was the kind of tour you don’t want to end!

The guide was... - The guide was knowledgeable and was very good at making the history of Lancaster interesting. The tour covered a wide range of food, some of which we loved, and some not so much - but it provided an honest range of available food in the city, and covered some very interesting historical sites (statues, buildings, etc.). Due to the nature of the tour (walking narrow sidewalks) the group was often strung out along the street, with people in the back unable to hear the guide talking. Note that her portable microphone/amplifier wasn't working that day, which made it worse.

Huge let down - Big let down. It said come hungry and we did and we left hungry. We tour the market and got the free samples at some of the booths, except we paid 69 dollars for them. It said that the tour was not for children under 10, yet there was a four year old on the tour. If we would have known we may have taken our granddaughters, but it was a good thing because it was not worth it. There was a lot of stories if you could hear them and when Debbie was not catering to the four year old and his parents. My husband and myself went on many food tours in different cities this one was a very expensive let down and by far the worse.

Big let down - Big let down, alot of walking not much food. Some of the samples where free 2 everyone. Huge let down. It stated no kids. There was a four year old on our tour. If they were allowed would of had my daughters children go with us. Glad they did not because it said come hungry well we left hungry. Debbie the guide was full of stories when we could hear them because she would be talking to the couple who brought the 4 year old on the tour. Was not worth the 400+ dollars (69 dollars @) that we paid. I have been on many food tours and this one was by far the worst.
