Additional Information

Kick off your day-long excursion with a hotel pick-up in Khao Lak between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and head towards the river. Board a bamboo raft and drift through the waters, unwind and appreciate the breathtakingly beautiful surrounding rainforest as a local raftsman guides your raft.

Take a look at a sea turtle preservation centre that is dedicated to rescuing and boosting the sea turtle population in this part of the world. The Royal Thai Navy is vigorously involved in turtle conservation, and hatchlings are transported to the center, where they are cared for 6-8 months prior to being returned to the ocean.

Round off the tour with a visit to Ton Pling Waterfall, the area’s primary waterfall. Immerse yourself in the wonderful atmosphere and admire the spectacular scenery that envelops you. Take a dip in the waterfall’s tiny pools and revel in the tranquil environment, before being returned to your hotel.

Book with a confidence. - Brilliant tour guide, speaking fantastic English, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his job. The river was a very low in water, perhaps it would be better in Jan or Feb, but we had an amazing time and a good laugh. The turtle conservation area was well worth to visit. Book with a confidence.

Bamboo Rafts, Turtles and Temple! 5* Excursion - Very enjoyable half day trip, everything was brilliantly organised. Bamboo rafting was peaceful and managed to see three snakes in the trees! Sea turtles were also great. Due to it being the dry season there was no water coming over the waterfall so we were taken to a local temple instead which which was very interesting and provided some spectacular photos. Our guide spoke good English and was extreme welcoming. Ice cold bottled water and fruit supplied. Great trip 5*

River Rafting with Berry - Thank you Berry - you speak very good English and are well-informed and willing to help with anything! It's a very insightful trip - remember sunscreen and an umbrella the sun is deadly when you sit on the boat.

Good - Turtles were amazing. Bamboo rafting was good but was long and were very uncomfortable but enjoyed it. The waterfall was dried up so a little bit of a waste of time. But we enjoyed our morning, the tour guide was very nice and friendly.

Too long and unexciting. - Seeing two snakes in the trees. Otherwise a bit overlong and a little boring, perhaps because the river was very low.

Underwhelming - As it was low season the water was really low so we were basically dragged down the river. Beautiful scenery but not the relaxing experience we thought it was going to be. It was good to see the turtles but would have been better if we had someone to talk us through what the different tanks were and what they were doing. ** WARNING** the toilets at the naval base are like something out of a zombie apocalypse film, they are beyond filthy. Didn’t even go to the waterfall as the guide said it was just a rock due to low season. The guide was brilliant and he couldn’t help the weather but you should be made aware of the low season and be given the choice.

Poor - This trip should have been cancelled, Bamboo rafting was difficult due to lack of water, we had to be pulled along in some places.. Turtles are just in pretty small enclosures, and Waterfall sight couldn’t be done again no water so would just have looked at a Rock, everybody on the trip had trouble understanding the guide (his accent was very strong) maybe this trip would be ok when there has been rain but should not be run in dry season

Nice guide, poor English, nice nature but poor water in the river and trip to the waterfall canceled due to no water. - It was a fairly long transfer (1-1.5h) and many hotels that you had to go back and forth to. Tip is to take motion sickness pills if you are sensitive. Once there, there was little water in the river so it was hardly possible to get the boat forward + no water in the waterfall.
