Stunning Lalibela, a must-see! - Just back from last week's trip to stunning Lalibela. Had an amazing time, all organised by Maereg and his team at Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours. Stayed at Sora Lodge with beautiful views and lovely rooms. Maereg made the entire experience extremely smooth, organised every aspect of my trip and had a great team of extremely knowledgeable guides and drivers which made the whole experience very enjoyable and safe (particularly for a solo female traveller). Would highly recommend Extraordinary Ethiopia to anyone considering visiting Ethiopia.

Highly recommend Maereg! Hard working, kind & dedicated person - My family and I (A group of 5) people got in contact with Maereg through our hotel. We were in Lalibela Jan 5-7, just in time for the Ethiopian Christmas. Lalibela was at its peak. Thousands of people from all over the country as well as tourists all over the place to experience the beauty of Lalibela in one of the most celebrated days in Ethiopia: Gena. Our guide, Maereg, went out of his way every single time to give us the best experience of Lalibela despite the crowd. He didn't make excuses and skip certain places even though the queue to enter every church was a too long time. Instead, he found shortcuts and made sure we visited all the places we agreed on. His English was undoubtedly fluent. He is passionate about Lalibela and it shows from the way he explained everything to us with deep interest. He was genuine and kind, we immediately became comfortable with him as though he was our friend all along. Thank you for the unforgettable experience Maereg!
