Lake Geneva Food Tour - Great your with Joe! This is a great walking tour to learn about the treasures of Lake Geneva. Joe was friendly, knowledgeable about interesting history about Lake Geneva and it’s connections to Chicago. Loved Visiting the Hill Valley Cheese Shop, the Simple Bakery, Gino’s East and the beautiful mindfulness place called the Space! You get your money’s worth! Thanks Joe!

Walking food and history - It was fun to learn some of the history of Lake Geneva, even stuff I didn’t know but live near the area.

The perfect day - It was very cool, but no wind. The lake is stunning. Our guide Joe was great. Knowledgeable and charming. The flowers were still fresh and beautiful. We had a group from 17 to 79. We all loved it. The food was just enough and delicious.

Learn a little about Lake Geneva and try some local establishments - Joe was very attentive to our group's needs and interest. Overall the food was good especially Hill Valley, and Guac Star. Be prepared for a lot of food at Gino's East - or take some of it to go. I didn't mind going to a couple locations that were clearly added to the tour to support the small businesses in Lake Geneva. Joe is new to giving tours, I think he will develop a smoother delivery and learn even more history with experience.

Some good, mostly bad, lots of room for improvement. - I booked this trip thinking it would be a fun activity during a trip for my 5th wedding anniversary. We're foodies and thought a tour would be a great way to explore food options in downtown Lake Geneva. I generally don't write reviews when I've had a bad experience, but this tour felt very rough around the edges. The guide seemed awkward and struggled to present information about the area. Tour started way too early and the group waited around for 20-30 minutes at the starting point because the brewery didn't open until 11:00. There was no clear outline or itinerary provided until the tour started. We went to a coffee shop that provides employment to people with disabilities, but didn't receive any information about that. My wife and I only knew about the company's mission because we had gone there that morning for breakfast. We also ended up having a very large lunch at Gino's East, which is a chain restaurant that can be found all over Chicagoland. Don't really understand why we didn't go to an establishment unique to Lake Geneva. The tour spent 30 minutes at a spa for some reason. The route we took was very meandering (about 1.7 miles) and added more walking than was necessary. Overall we had fun, but that was mainly because of the other participants in the tour. It also felt like we hit up multiple establishments that weren't related to food. This tour has the potential to be great, but there is a lot of room for improvement. - Clean up the info provided and the way it's presented. - Provide an itinerary in advance - Later start - More food related stops, smaller portions - Skip the spa - Make the route shorter/more efficient - Ask if there are any food allergies/intolerances.
