Amazing experience! 10/10 - The views were outstanding and it is super nice to explore the caves. Some waves were not for the weak arms haha but it was super fun. I really recommend it! :)

Staff was awesome - Although the trip was cancelled due to waves condition, the staff was excellent to deal with. They offered to reschedule but our schedule did not permit. Full refund processed within 24 hours.

Only way to see the caves - We had a great time touring the caves with Cristiano. He made us feel very comfortable, and his personal and unique family history with fishing in the area made for a memorable history lesson. Note for those who are not strong swimmers or who have not kayaked in the ocean: it is different than kayaking on a lake!! 🙃 We flipped three times, but it was fun!

Fun way to see the coastline and enjoy the water - It so happened that during our trip to Lagos the surf swell was up a bit and the conditions weren’t calm. David was upfront about the conditions and that we’d be limited on some of the caves and stops we could safely access. He gave us the option to continue with the booking or get a refund. Our family has paddled in open water a fair amount, so we were prepared to give it a shot so long as they thought the conditions were safe per the guides who know the area well. We had a small group of 6 tandem kayaks in our group, so the experience was pleasant, not as chaotic looking as some of the other groups going out from the same area. David was a laid back, but attentive and helpful guide. He stated he was raised in the area, and clearly he knows it well. Our group was all reasonably skilled, so we were able to make quite a few cave entries in the end, really just forgoing a beach visit and snorkel…maybe a few other tighter caves as well, but overall we were very happy and saw a lot. The caves and coastline were beautiful. Our two girls, 12 and 15 managed very well and it was a blast. Highly recommended to book with this group and paddle the area. I’d say it’s a must do in Lagos, especially if you like to be active. There are a lot of power boats around taking people through similar sections…but it’s much more peaceful and moving under your own power in the ocean provides a different perspective. If you are tired when you get to the turnaround point (it’s out and back) the safety power boat that follows the group will even tow you back so you can just sit back and enjoy the views. Or, paddle back on your own and get a proper workout.

Best way to explore the caves!!! - There is no better way to see Ponte de Piadade than by kayak and i absolutely give EZRide my highest recommendation. Our guide, Cristiano, made the trip better than I expected. He shared his knowledge of the area, his sense of humor and he certainly watched out for every kayaker. Amazing experience and would do it again with them in a heartbeat.

Bad weather - The tour itself probably would have been fine if the weather was better. The waves were pretty intense. We saw people turning out of their kayaks twice during the tour. The tour started off well with them taking care of our valuables providing lockers with keys and water proof bags to take with us in the kayak. What wasn’t great was the rest of the tour, we never stopped at any beach and we never went scuba-diving. I get that the conditions were not great to do those things but it would’ve been nice to know that before hand so we would have the option to cancel the tour.

Terrible customer service. - We went with EZRIDE two years ago and had a great time, so chose to book again this year. Our first booking was for Thursday 5th October 2023 but when we arrived, was told that the weather was preventing the full scheduled programme and so recommended postponing to another day. As we had arranged our whole day around the trip, it was disappointing that they had not contacted us beforehand (as stated on their website), but as the weather can be unpredictable, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and re-booked for the following Tuesday - 10th October. In order to avoid a repeat, I emailed them on 9th asking if it was still on. I received a response saying it was not possible to confirm till the day. I then tried to call on the morning of 10th, but it just rang out. I emailed again, but received no reply. Having received no further notification, we, once more, travelled to the departure point, only to be told, once more, that the trip has been cancelled due to the weather. After all my efforts, I was fuming 😤. Upon asking why I had not been notified, I simply got a shrug of the shoulders! The only good thing, was that my money was refunded that afternoon. I will certainly not be using EZRIDE in the future!

Kayaking experience - Was too wavey and we couldn't go anywhere or snorkel at all. Just shaking on the water. Disappointing and not good as the guides said we need to decide instead of skipping the trip. Probably way better with no waves.
