Great kayaking experience at Benagil - Booked kayak rental through experitour and were allocated to Andre Matos. Had great experience so went straight to him this year. Wanted a triple kayak this time as we had our 21 year old daughter with us this time. Website didn’t appear to allow for that but email commutation confirmed it was available and just to book 3 people on. East to book and pay on website. Had email communication and text on the morning arranging meet up. met staff in carpark to get life jackets paddles and waterproof bag then down to beach. The pink tee shirt staff saw us before we saw them and got us out. They suggested a 2 and a 1 but were happy to give us a 3 when we said that was what we wanted. Was probably a bit harder to paddle/steer but no issues. Only slightly longer in length. Still got into all the caves and beaches. We booked the 1030 slot. Was pretty busy with kayaks SUPS and tour boats but still great fun / and even busier at 1230 when we got back. Great fun paddling. Much more stable than you might think. And the caves and cliffs are really impressive. A great couple of hours - well worth it and great service.

Fun times - It was a very fun experience with our friends from California. The weather was perfect and the different caves were amazing. We will be back.

loved the kayak - Great experience!! There was high tide, so coming back was a bit hard for 2 women and the wind was strong but in general we had so much fun, and the view...waaao!!Amazing

Was great until… - Checkin was very easy. We had two non-swimmers and luckily the water was very calm that day. One of our kayaks was a little behind and parked their kayak someone after us at Benagil. When we went back to return someone had taken our kayak. We got back to the beach where they let you in and the company asked us to wait until the other kayak came back. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR KAYAK and go exploring. People are not paying attention and just grab a kayak.

Difficult to locate on... - Difficult to locate on the beach. Find the pink shirts. Reservation was not checked and received kayak 30+ minutes past scheduled time. Minimal direction given, thankfully we were experienced kayakers.

ok but to improve - We have been renting one kayak for two in the end of June. It is true that every company are located in the same beach, so it is hard to find your renting company, and everyone steps to each others. There is no explications or brief about how to use the kayak and where to go, so it is up to you to inform yourself before going or to ask questions before starting your trip .In addition be verry careful in the cave because it is VERY hard and dangerous to get in and get out because of the others boat company which doesnt respect any safety rules and distance security. Plus if you get stuck in the cave you cannot count on the staff of others comapny to help you.. which is sad. It can be a really better company if they make more explications before throwing us in the water! Otherwise it is quite a friendly staff and beautiful places to explore for sure.

Use another company. Long long wait. - Whilst the Kayaking was great (although ridiculously busy), the hire company was shockingly unorganised. Directed to the beach by a couple of stoners to look out for a guy in a pink t-shirt who told us to stand with 300 other people to wait an hour for a kayak. Other companies seemed to be a lot more experienced.

never got on the water - terrible service. booked at 12 noon for a 330pm hire. got an email at 247pm when travelling to the meeting point to notify the hire was cancelled, no reason was given. why take the booking in the first place?
