Cinque Terre is a MUST - We went 2 days ago and loved it especially the lemoncino and of course we bought a bottle wish we’d bought 2. The guide was excellent and because it was a small group we were able to go to Manarola as well which saved us going another day and gave us a well overdue R&R day. We think you need to go by train and also boat to get different perspectives of this beautiful region. We love it here

Easier riding the train with a guide - Having someone get us to the three villages by train. After a few comments about each village, we were on our own until we met up for the train to the next village.

Over run with tourists! - The check in process is chaotic and the buses are not as promised ie no Wifi and no bathroom for a 2 plus hour drive. Way to many people are allowed to come to these tiny little villages. If you think you are getting a quaint little village tour you would be wrong! Think 1,200 people being dropped off at the same time in a village that has 200 residents. They are just over run the lines are crazy just to get a coffee takes over 30 minutes! Bathrooms can be an hour wait! Our tour guide was very little help as she was just there to move you from one place to the other no real guidance is given.

Mediocre - It was a train ticket with a small explanation of each of the 3 stops, you could buy a train ticket for 18 euros and have a similar experience

Worst tour ever!! - Worst tour ever!! Guide showed up 20 minutes late. Customer Support never answered our call on hold for 12 minutes. Tour was to be English speaking. It was 6 English and about 20 Spanish. Guide spent many minutes at first stop discussing village in Spanish. By the time she finished telling us in English, we literally had to run through the village to see it before we left! Don't waste your money. You can get an all day Cinque Terre train pass from La Spezia for 12 EU and have a much better tour than we did!!!

Not worth it - This excursion was not worth it. Definitely a waste of money. You have to walk 20 minutes to the train station and board a very crowded train. The train provides little to no views due to being a regular subway like train. Each town is 1-2 stops away so very doable on your own. You would save money for sure. The tour guide basically just herded you like cattle from town to town. Never provided any history or facts on each town. The limoncello tasting was no more than an ounce big! Less than a shot. Would have rather done the bus tour where the tour guides give you info. Very disappointing for this excursion. Everyone in the group felt the same way.
