Isla Catalina - Catalina is a beautiful island located in the southeast part of the Dominican Republic, as a paradise offers tourists the opportunity to snorkel in an exclusive area full of coral and multicolor fish. When you visit Catalina Island you can do it all: party boat with an all you can drink bar, great snorkeling time, beach, swimming and lunch.
Catalina Island is an hour and 10 minutes away from your hotel. You’re be pick up in an air conditioned bus with an English speaking tour guide who on the way will give some important information about the DR. when we get to La Romana port, we are taking the party boat, equipped with snorkeling gear, life jacket, open bar, restrooms, music, a diligent crew and we will make a stop to snorkeling before getting to the island (around 1 hour). After snorkeling we head to the island and we stay there 3 hours where you have the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful beaches, beach bar, and good food serve on our beach buffet.
Around 15:30 we head back to the port and take the bus back. Half way, we stop (25 minutes) in a local shop before heading to the hotel.

It was 30 of us....We had a blast - We had an awesome time in DR. From the time Henry picked us up @ the airport(on time) everything went very smooth. It was a large group of us (30 ppl). So, we did a lot of activities. We did the day trip to Santo Domingo, the Altos de chavon & Catalina tour( which was the best), we did the boogies, horse back riding, and dolphin. Henry was our tour guide for the week. He took us everywhere and had a lot of patience with us😂. It's not easy handling 30 ppl but he catered to all of our needs. Anything we needed he was there for us. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable. Everything was safe and we all had a blast. Will definitely be back and use your services.

False advertising - This excursion was my first and probably my last with Viator. I went with this excursion as a referral from a friend and Viator seemed like a reputable company being affiliated with Trip Advisor. Well it wasn’t!
First the driver was late picking us up, he told us that he had 1 more stop but that turned into 3 more stops. They packed us in the van literally on top of each other with no masks or sanitizer provided. He stopped to get gas and was late dropping us off at the dock. Then we sat on a hot boat in the direct sun which by the way WASN’T even a catamaran but a double decker speed boat with NO bathroom. Then after an hour and a half we arrived in the middle of the ocean to snorkel and they DID NOT provide ANY sanitation for the masks or gear. The snorkeling equipment was not cleaned at all! There was no drinks or snacks on the boat. The food on the island was good and the only good part about the tour. The island did NOT have an open bar but pre made Sangria ONLY and soda and you had to pay for rum. They then took us to a road stop shop where we were harassed by locals to buy products and goods. I felt so uncomfortable the entire time with the lack of safety and COVID protocols. I would not recommend this at all.

Horrible - Horrible experience... you would think we wasn't in a pandemic still, People in the transportation van without mask on and the driver with half his mask on coughing up a storm. Let go back to how He packed up a van that fit 14 pax with 12 pax!!! So basically forget about safety!!! THIS WAS SO HORRIBLE!!! The driver pickup numerous people and gas on the way to the boat that was not a catamaran. We spend more time in the van and picking up other people and driving back and dropping of other people instead of the actual excursion. Viator you have failed me!
