Made our stay so memorable - We'd like to share our experience with Reef Oasis in the Dominican Republic. It's a shame that the company mainly advertises for Egypt, because their diving base in the Dominican Republic is truly amazing. We had the pleasure of enjoying 14 dives with the crew, and each one was more beautiful than the last. The reefs right in front of the hotel are fantastic, with dive sites for all levels - from very shallow to deep, and even some great wreck dives. The St. George wreck, just a 5-minute boat ride from the hotel, was particularly impressive at 85 meters in length. We were lucky enough to spot a huge variety of healthy marine-life, tons of rays and an impressive coral-nursery. The diving instructors and the entire crew were absolutely amazing - they made us always feel relaxed and never rushed. We'd like to give a big shout-out to the diving center, especially Kim, Humberto, and Mr. Jacob, who were fantastic guides on our dives. Humberto Viloria, with whom we had the pleasure to experience the most dives, is a absolutely fantastic person. He has a true passion for the sea, ocean-conservation and always explains and shows everything to you in great detail. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! We highly recommend the diving base and it is likely that this will not be our last time as their guests. In our opinion, the dive center does not deserve to be overshadowed by the obvious "main base" in Egypt. In conclusion, we had a highly valuable experience at Reef Oasis in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Best regards, Markus & Sofia from Germany

Top Notch Diving & Crew - Have had a great time diving from the Viva Hotel with the Reef Oasis team. A big shout out to Migel and all of his team including the kit staff and dive boat crew, they are all professional and look after you. Kim, Juan and Huburto the dive guides are exceptional and really make your holiday. They find all the creatures big and small for you. There are sharks, rays, turtles, box fish, file fish, drummer fish to name a few. Two awesome wrecks to be dived with the St. George being my favourite.

Sharks, Rays, Turtles and Seahorses! - Fantastic time diving with the team at Reef oasis. They accommodated all the sites we wanted to visit and the superb guides went above and beyond to ensure every dive was memorable! Juan, Kim and Humberto were all fantastic finding us tiny rare seahorses, boxfish and anything else you can think of! Miguel who ran the centre was also brilliant! Particular highlights were a very special dive on tortuga with large circling eagle rays and a turtle and the excursions to Saona and Catalina with exceptional visibility and sharks! The house reef is also not to be missed for keen macro photographers! For wreck enthusiasts there’s plenty of options such as the St George a huge wreck which will not disappoint!

Beautiful reefs and fantastic staff!! - I actually would rate this as 4.9 rather than 4. Overall excellent diving in Bayahibe, DR. The reefs were fantastic and Humberto and Jacob were great dive masters. Particularly Humberto, who looked after us completely and made sure our experience was fun, safe and comfortable. Humberto gives the best, in depth briefings in the AM before boarding the boat. We were well prepared for each dive. Then, onboard the boat the staff (entire staff) makes sure that you are prepared and that your equipment is ready and functioning. Kudos also the captain and deck assistants. The staff were very aware of our skill level as divers and (my sons are newly certified OW) assigned us to appropriate dive sites that were safe yet very rewarding to experience. Our only criticism (and it really should only be a 0.1 deduction) is that the rental gear needs improvement. The BCDs were fine but a couple of our regulators were pretty worn and needed maintenance (they worked but the most comfortable and mine needed multiple purge taps to stop slow leak). Also, 2 of us had to dive without depth gauges - not a big deal as we were together, but still. All regulator set ups should have at least a depth gauge and some sort of timer for those of us that didn't bring our own gear. But these were minor issues and did not stop our full enjoyment of the reefs. This is not a criticism but information: there is no marine head on the boat so be sure to go to the bathroom before each dive trip. The boat was fine (good entry and exit, racks for tanks etc.), just no head. Also, many of the reef sites are within 5 min boat ride or less. Lots of good reef right in front of the resort. We were actually happy on our last day to get a slightly longer boat ride to see a small bit of the coastline from the water:) Overall I would highly recommend! Together with a wonderful time at the resort and the friendly, welcoming staff made the trip fantastic.

Beautiful dives and obliging stuff - I did 15 boat dives at reef oasis base. Some beautiful dives and really friendly and obliging stuff. We had a lot of fun and felt safety all the time (corona). Only a relaxing place for writing the logbook or drinking some coffee with other divers was inexistent. Anyway we had a really good time at reef oasis - thanks :))
