Gravity - the original, and still the best, Death Road bike tour company - I live in Bolivia and have done the Death Road by bike many times, as all my international visitors want to do that. After a previous experience with three flat tires and a broken arm receiving minimal attention, we decided to use the original Death Road tour company, Gravity, which is a little more expensive than the rest. Still, the service from start to finish is far better and worth the extra money. Our guide, Damian, was excellent and funny, and took very good care of our wounds after crashing on the dirt road.

Great experience - Initially we were unsure whether to bike the death road at first because we knew it is a tour that many tourists do. In the end we decided to do it and were glad we did! Marcelo, Omar, and Jose were a great team and we learned a ton about the history of the road and the region (which we didn’t expect going in). With a total of five bikers in our group the tour was small and intimate which was nice. The bikes were very good quality and well maintained, and we always felt very safe. Ending at the animal rescue center was also a highlight. Though this tour was more expensive than some other companies, we felt that it was worth it because of the quality of the bikes and the guiding, and also because Gravity is the only company that ends the tour at the animal rescue center. Would highly recommend!

A fantastic bike tour. - Biking Bolivias Death road was a highlight of our trip to Bolivia! Gravity Bolivia is a top notch company and they provided high quality gear and service. Chelo, Omar and José took great care of us throughout the day and made the day fun and entertaining. We took plenty of breaks on the ride along with snacks and water and photo stops. Chelo is very knowledgeable about Bolivia, speaks great English and is fun to be around. The 3 of them made a great team and worked well together. We finished our ride at a wildlife refuge in La Senda where we had showers, a great lunch and a tour of the refuge. This bike tour is a must do when in La Paz.

Thrills and fun on the death road - This is the best experience we had after a month in Peru & Bolivia. The ride was completely exhilarating, and yet the Guides Damien and Omar made it very safe. They took the best care of everybody and were great fun too. The safety precautions are of the highest standard and no time despite being in my 60s and with little experience did I feel unsafe? You can make it as thrilling or exhilarating as you would want. The views are jaw-dropping. The fun of riding through a couple of waterfalls and Streams made it even better. The adventure far exceeded my expectations.

Best operator - amazing experience! :) - Damian and Omar were the best guides! We felt safe all the way, they explained important details ahead of riding down the road and helped us with all their experience. Everyone could go their own pace and they didn't put any pressure on anybody. The bikes were perfectly maintained, they did some checks during the breaks of the rides! Guys, no need to think about - do the tour with Gravity Bolivia, it's so worth it!!! :)

An unforgettable journey - I'm not a biker in any sense, in fact I rented a bike the week before we went on the Death Road tour just to ensure I could still cycle so I was a little apprehensive about this. However I need not have been! Damien and Rueben were great guides and photographers and Miguel was a super driver. The first part of the cycle after riding around getting used to the bikes was on a paved road, all downhill. It got the adrenaline pumping. The actual death road part, the first half (before the lunch stop) was pretty scary for me, not so much because of the location and the sheer drop, but because I have no mountain bike experience and the road was very rough and rocky - my main concern was simply not being able to handle the bumps and possibly falling off! That never happened thankfully - I was using my brakes and always just keeping my own pace, I never left my own comfort zone trying to keep up with the leaders (and anyway the time between the fastest and slowest in our group of 11 was only ever a few minutes). The experience was great. We got fed breakfast, snacks, a light lunch and then a heavier lunch at the end plus a beer, and got t-shirts and were able to shower after which was great. The tunes on the bus journey there and back were pumping and we were all dropped off very close to our hotels in the evening which was great. Would highly recommend doing this with Gravity.

Amazing Day, the Best Guides and a MUST DO - Amazing day! The guides, Ruben and Damien, were very friendly and informative, hitting the perfect balance between safety and thrill seeking. The food throughout was tasty including the breakfast at Cafe Del Mundo, snacks at breaks finishing at a meal at the animal sanctuary (great place to finish). Last but not least thanks to Micky the driver who steered us and himself (when we were riding) safely throughout the day. Really helpful to drop us at a cable car when returning into La Paz. 5 stars and high recommend.

You can’t do better than Gravity - One of the best tours we have done so far in South America. The professionalism and safty standards are top level. We had Noel and Omar as guides and Johnny was our driver. Dream team. Noel is humble, calm and has great sence of humor. He explained every new section in detail and what we have to look after for. Ending the tour at the La Senda Verde animal reserve was bonus and a great experience. Yes they might be a bit more expensive but every dollar is well spent and worth it. Thanks guys. Keep make people happy 😃
