Amazing Whale Sharks! - This was an awesome tour. The crew was knowledgeable and found the whale sharks without any problems. This was the most amazing natural experience to swim with these gentle giants, a must on everyone’s bucket list.

BOOK WITH THESE GUYS! - Absolutely recommend doing this tour with this company! Thomas was our guide and he was amazing. Super knowledgeable about whale sharks and very respectful of them. Incredibly patient with my family and I. We weren't the fastest swimmers but Thomas and the crew made sure we were able to swim with the whale shark multiple times. It was an exhausting but absolutely amazing experience. (Bring your own water) 10/10. Book with these guys!

Great end-of-season whale shark experience - We took this tour late in the season, and while there were fewer whale sharks in the bay, we were still able to find a whale shark and swim alongside it! The experience was amazing - Tomas is a knowledgeable and friendly marine biologist who explained all about the whale shark sanctuary. JJ and Martin crewed the boat and ensured we were safe and comfortable even with some strong swells and currents that day. The equipment and wet suits were in good condition. We enjoyed every minute of our whale shark experience and would take another tour with Eco Migrations next time we're in La Paz.

Best Whale Shark Tour Company, La Paz BCS - This was an awesome tour. I can't imagine a better tour company to go with. The owner and guide, JJ and Thomas, are family and both marine biologists, the boat captain was singing all the time. Water was murky but that is jus a matter of luck. This company goes out even if they don't have a full boat, many won't go unless they are full and too many people makes for a poor tour. I can't say enough.

Love it, highly recommend!! - The crew was seriously fabulous! We had brought our 7 year old who was pretty nervous about getting in the water, but the crew did pretty much everything that they could to support her (pulling us up close, helping her into the water). She was so glad she did it. It was really one of those truly amazing experiences for our family to have together and would 110% recommend it for anyone else, even those traveling with children!

Incredible Experience! - My family did the whale shark and sea lion excursion. Snorkeling so close to such amazing animals was an incredible experience! The tour guide and crew were friendly, personable, professional, and knowledgeable about marine life. It also helped that they were fluent in both Spanish and English. The boat ride to Isla Espíritu Santo and back was a bit rough, so I would recommend taking motion sickness medication ahead of time.

What a great day with the whale sharks - Erin and Tomas are the BOMB. They’re both so knowledgeable, that not only do you have a great time, but learn a lot along the way. Best day of the vacation. The wetsuits were excellent, the boat good, along with all the other gear. You can’t go wrong booking with them

Crew and Eco Migrations very good, experience not so much, be prepared to swim hard and fast with no visibility - Being a Scuba diver I have looked for whale sharks for over 40 years and never found one so I was very excited to take this tour and finally find my whale shark. Well the tour did work for that one goal, we found several in the sanctuary in La Paz. Our guide, Thomas was wonderful and definitely knows a lot about the animals. We mostly saw them as shadows on the surface of the water. The reason I only gave the tour a 3 is that I feel there should be more explanation of what to expect. I am a strong swimmer and was accompanied by my friends who are both triathletes. from the moment you hit the water you are swimming as fast as you can to try to stay with the animal which would have been okay except the visibility is next to nothing so, unless you are within 5 feet of the animal you cannot see it. It was very difficult to see and when you did you were worried about not touching it. We had to constantly keep our heads above water to make sure we were with Thomas because we could not see him if our heads were down looking for the whale shark. We all had trouble keeping up. One of the reasons the sharks are there, (and there are only small, juvenile males that come to La Paz) is for the nutrient rich water which makes for poor visibility, I totally accept that I just wish I would have known before we went. I would also caution anyone who wants to go you had better be in good swimming shape. The boat crew was awesome, they came and got you if you got tired but it was just really disappointing.
