Highlights

Pure Trek Canyoning - We’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you on a short drive outside of La Fortuna where your adventure will begin. Your zip line guides will geet you and provide high quality equipment before taking you on an adventure of a lifetime. Then it is take off! Experience the excitement and adrenaline of zip lining above the rainforest treetops, with heights up to 600 ft and distances up to 2,600 feet!

After your zip lining adventure you will be driven to Pure Trek’s base offices and gardens to change your clothes and eat a delicious Costa Rican Typical lunch. After lunch we will drive you out of La Fortuna, about 20 minutes. Then you will be driven into the mountains in 4x4 trucks on a road with amazing views of forest and the famous Arenal Volcano. You will arrive at our ranch house where your guides will gear you up and then you are off! Rappelling down exciting and exhilarating waterfalls, a canyon wall, Monkey Drop )zip line & rappel) and a rock climb all in our spectacular rainforest canyon. We then take you back to our base offices to take a look at the photos of your adventure, have some delicious Costa Rican coffee and then back to your hotel.

The zip lining and canyoning combination offers a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to connect with nature and experience excitement. Your day starts with a pick-up from your hotel and a journey to the zip lining base station where you can soar above the rainforest canopy. Afterwards, we’ll proceed to the Pure Trek Headquarters for a mouth-watering organic meal and a chance to meet your canyoning instructors. Once you’ve refueled, you’ll explore the untouched Pure Trek canyon for a thrilling canyoning adventure that involves tropical waterfall rappelling, rock climbing, river walking, and the Monkey Drop (remember, you’ll get drenched!)

A great adventure! - We booked through Pure Trek & were not disappointed! The waterfall rappelling was first and it had amazing views. The guides were kind, safety was ensured, we were nervous about the heights but it was so worth it! There were 4 rappels total & the monkey drop was awesome. Lunch was great with traditional Costa Rican food at the main Pure Trek building in town where we changed into dry clothes/shoes. We originally wore clothes that could get wet and tevas/Chacons and that worked great. The ziplining was booked in the package via Pure Trek, but hosted with another company called AMA. Their guides were helpful. Beautiful views of La Fortuna waterfall. We were going from 8:30am-4:30pm, so it was a long day with lots of exercise. Only tip I’ll give is that you need to be in some kind of good shape since it’s a lot of hiking uphill & you need to be able to climb & hold your weight with the rappelling.

Rappelling Rocks! - The rappelling was so excellent! So much fun and I have never done anything like it, I highly highly recommend. The ziplining was just average. Don't get me wrong, it was a fun experience, but not nearly as thrilling as the rappelling, and the staff didn't go above and beyond as they did with the rappelling either. We also got lunch after, though, which was very pleasant.

A slice of paradise with a side of exhilaration - What an amazing experience this was! I booked through this group based off of a referral from a friend in CR and was not disappointed! Jonathan, our main guide was very knowledgeable and engaging along with the entire crew who all made us feel welcome, safe and looked after throughout the duration of the trip. The lunch provided was delicious and the surroundings spectacular. Would most assuredly do this again and recommend to anyone. Pura vida!

Pure vida! - This adventure was amazing! The entire staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience a joy. Everything from the journey, to dropping down the waterfalls, to the lunch after were absolutely tremendous. We would certainly recommend Pure Trek to anyone!

Fantastic and memorable day! - Such a fun and memorable experience! This experience was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am so glad I did it. It was exhilarating while slightly terrifying! Ha! Guides were prompt, professional, friendly, entertaining, and accommodating. Everything went very smoothly on the tour. Highly recommend!

Breathtaking views - Was the best adventure I could have asked for. So memorable for our entire group. One for the memory books for sure. A definite must do in Arenal. The guides were amazing and the scenery was epic. Pura Vida!

Mediocre - Beware: especially women- you will not like the face rape you get from them holding you under the water. It was Rushed & theyheld you under the waterfalls so you couldn’t really experience everything. They held you under all of the waterfalls so you couldn’t look around & enjoy the scenery going down because water was beating you in the face. Also, they rushed you thruincluding rushing your descent because they controlled it. We were with a group of 8 & couldn’t watch every because they kept rushing you along- there was room!! They were nice & kept us safe but, they could greatly improve!!
