Perfect family adventure - We had a great experience with our 6 and 3 year old! Jose was a fabulous tour guide and we saw lots of wildlife including iguanas, toucans, kingfisher birds, porcupine, basilisque lizard, among others. The part on the River was about 2 hours and slightly too long for my kids but we all really enjoyed it and the snacks at the end were a nice treat!

Fun relaxing experience ! - Carlos was our guide for this trip ! We had a very fun and relaxed float ! It was just our family with Carlos and he was very patient in explaining things, showing us the animals and doing his best to position us so we can all see it and take pictures too. We were able to see crocodiles, howler monkeys, cappuccino monkeys, spectacled owl, porcupine, bats, jesus christ monkeys, iguanas, sleeping blue jay, black turkey vulture ! Abundant wildlife and great for those who want rafting without rapids - I love white water rafting and this was a great way to introduce my anxious kid to the concept, without the rapids. My husband and I also got an opportunity to row and get some exercise. We saw sloths, tucans, crocodiles, two types of monkeys and various iguanas on our tour. The chocolate demo at the end was also a great way to learn the basics without booking a dedicated tour It was a hot day and the shade was intermittent so you'll definitely want sun protection. Because there are crocodiles in the water, the trip does not involve swimming and we didn't get very wet. Only complaint was some disorganization around the meeting time/point which led to waiting around in the morning, but guide was helpful and informative. We had a raft for our group of 4.

Amazing experience with a great guide, no problem with small children. - We went with small children and it was all very magical. Our guide, Wilson, was so knowledgeable and kind - a true hero. We saw so many animals, and had so much great info. The trip is totally safe, and so much fun. Definitely one of the best things we did in La Fortuna. Great experience with the truly stunning Costa Rican nature.

Penas blanco river float - Our river float was excellent, surpassing our expectations. I asked how long we would be on the water and was told 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We were actually on the water for 2 1/2 hour. Our guide, Miguel, was excellent. We saw howler monkeys, vultures, a blue heron and others. I did not love the chocolate talk though (though the sample was delicious). The time on the water was amazing though.

Beautiful look at Costa Rica ! - This was a nice leisurely couple hour float down the penis Blancos river. Roy was our guide, and I highly recommend him! Extremely knowledgeable and a great eye for catching so many creatures in their natural state. He is super passionate about Costa Rica and the beauty of this land. Along our way, we saw crocodiles, monkeys, two cans, so many gorgeous birds. It really was amazing.

Great for families - Our family had a fantastic time on this float. Our guide Joshua was very kind and had nice conversations with all of us. He also steered us from getting stuck where other boats did get stuck. There was plenty of wildlife along the float for us to see. My favorite part was in a river bend there were a bunch of hidden monkeys that started hollering at us. It was spooky and funny at the same time.

Float the river, see so many animals with yummy treats, guide and transportation included. - We were picked up and brought to the central hub where we joined a larger group. Our family of 4 were the only people on the raft with our guide “Chino” Jose Gonzalez. He was kind, informative and did almost all the rowing. We saw crocodiles, monkeys, a sloth, bats and toucans. It was a relaxing, fun and safe float on the river. When off the river we had a yummy snack, shot and cacao treat. Wait, there’s more! The guides on the drive back stopped to show us a sloth with her baby. Definitely recommend!

Highly recommend - What a wonderful experience. Christopher was very friendly with eyes like a hawk. He pointed out everything we could never have spotted by ourselves, and his passion was evident. Our whole family including our little ones loved every minute of it! Crocodiles, monkeys, and all the birds we could imagine.

Relaxing safari boat float - It’s a nice tour along the river and we managed to see lots of wildlife. However, there were lots of boats going at the same time and our guide spoke very little English and relied on the other tour guides to find the animals. At the end we got a nice snack and a brief chocolate talk.
