- Tifakara Lodge - Our evening excursion commences with a stroll along the hotel’s internal trails, where our inaugural frog haven awaits. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of amphibian species, including the iconic Red-Eyed Frog (Agalychnis callidryas).
As we proceed along the pathways, we’ll make our way to our second frog sanctuary, which boasts a slightly larger scale than the first. The journey offers an authentic feel of the tropical rainforest, all while ensuring a safe experience. The wilderness is full of unexpected delights, and it’s not unusual to encounter sloths, nocturnal birds, and serpents during our adventure.

Loved it - Randall was our guide and was great! Very informative. The tour was under 1 hour which was perfect. After our tour my husband and I hung out and enjoyed some drinks. I'm so glad we booked this tour.

A must do - Incredible experience. We saw several kinds of frogs and learned a lot about vegetation. Extraordinary guides. A must do!

A lot of frogs - The tour takes place in the garden of the hotel, it lasted about 45 minutes but we saw a lot frogs.
Our guide Randall was very nice and informative

Amazing night tour experience! - We had a great time on this night tour! Randall was our guide and he was the perfect combination of friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about animals. We got to see a ton of interesting animals, including a glass frog and the iconic red eye frog (see picture). Would definitely recommend this tour to people who love animals of all kinds.

Great tour - very interesting - Really great tour with Randall! We were staying at the Tifakara resort so it was complimentary as we were guests but we would happily have paid for it. We saw loads of different frogs from tiny and rare to big bull frogs ! Plus some interesting flora and fauna. Definitely recommended

Wonderful night tour!!! - This was such a special offering at Tifakara. We were pleasantly surprised that this was a possibility- such a nice added bonus to an already beautiful stay. The grounds are so lovely, so to get the chance to walk them with Randall, a skilled expert, was really special. We saw amazing frogs, snakes, plants, and learned so much. We also made a beautiful friend in Randall, who is a gem of a person, and a wonderful guide and concierge. Highly recommend making time for this short but potent tour during your stay.

When you see so many frogs you name the last one Bob! - Josue was an amazing guide! His passion and energy were contagious.

Excellent walk through the forest - The tour is super good, we took it as part of our stay in Tifakara. Randal had a lot of knowledge of the local fauna and flora. You can tell how passionate he is about the topic, and this makes all the difference in the experience! I recommend it 100%
