Amazing excursion! - We had a great time despite the rain! The hike to the volcano was amazing, not too muddy. We got great pictures and our guide, Juan Carlos was very informative about the history. Very glad we put bug spray on as mosquitoes were plentiful. Next we went to mistico hanging bridges. It was raining, but we were still able to see some wildlife: an eyelash pit viper, a sloth, tarantula, and bees. Last we went to La Fortuna waterfall. The steps down weren’t too strenuous and we got to take pictures in front of the waterfall. Since the waterfall was flowing so strong, we could not swim in it. There was a nice gift shop to browse in and food/drinks to order if interested. On the ride back to our hotel, Juan Carlos spotted a sloth and we got some great photos of it through his scope. So grateful to him for going above and beyond to help us view wildlife!

A must do tour of La Fortuna! - Our experience was absolutely amazing!!! Our tour guide Josue (Chino) was so lively, informative and passionate of the wildlife in Costa Rica. He used his telescope and took pictures for us! Even our bus driver spotted a sloth in tree while driving!

Great guide - Juan Carlos has the sharpest eyes in the rainforest. His ability to spot wildlife hidden amongst all the fauna is impressive and so is his ability to line up a perfect glimpse of the animals with his scope (DO NOT TOUCH 😬) for all to see. HAKUNA MATTATA when Juan Carlos is your guide and Henry is your driver it means no worries 🤙

Get your walking shoes... - Get your walking shoes ready cause it is a lot of walking! Definitely worth it though. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The area around the volcano was a challenging but a very rewarding hike. The La Fortuna waterfall was spectacular. It was a steep hike down and back up, but being able to swim in the waters coming from the waterfall was well worth the trip.

Great way to do three excursions in one day. - We had a great day exploring Arenal! It was a long day with all three excursions, but we only had a couple of days in the region so this was perfect. Our guide was sooooo nice and showed us so many things on the hikes that we would not have scene otherwise. Monkeys, frogs, snakes, lizards, tarantula, bats. The view of the volcano is amazing. The hike we did was about 2 miles. The lunch was so good. The stairs to the waterfall were fine going down, but a little much coming up. But there are stopping points where you can sit and rest. The waterfall is amazing. We all swam in the river base of the waterfall. Very refreshing. Wear water shoes, there are rocks. The hanging bridges were very fun and the views were breathtaking. That was also about 2 miles through the park. We had two families with ages from 7-54. All did great on all three excursions. We would recommend this for sure. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the region and the wildlife. Have a rain jacket and bug spray, good walking/hiking shoes.

Adventurous - We had an amazing experience on this excursion. Juan Carlos is a great guide and you’ll be lucky to get him if you do. He has a lot of knowledge about the history of Fortuna and went out of his way to find animals for us to see during the day. I’m not sure how he spotted some of them because they were so far away. Highly recommend doing this activity if you’re in Fortuna, it is well worth the money for everything you get to see and experience.

Best wild tour thanks to Chino - It is awesome, but you have to have Chino as guide, he knows every single corner of the jungle making the experience unique. He showed us more than 80 animals
