Authentic Costa Rican Chocolate Tour - What a wonderful experience!! We had no idea what to expect and we were just blown away by the entire tour. We were given so many pieces of fresh fruit, sugar cane, rum, of course lots of chocolate (fresh, unlike anything you normally taste), hot chocolate, coffee…so delicious! Outside of the amazing food was the explanation of all of the plants/trees on the farm with bits of history and fun facts along with the whole chocolate making process. I left with an even greater appreciation for nature and how many cultures use nature for medicine. An additional bonus to the tour was a close encounter with a resident sloth on the land. She was too cute!! I can’t remember our tour guides name but he was fantastic - so fun and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone who loves nature and chocolate and fruit!

Eco-friendly tour. - They definitely took the issue of sustainable tourism very seriously here with an excellent proposal. I love visiting places like this where they raise awareness about the importance of taking care of the environment.

Tasting fruits. - Pineapple, oranges. sugar cane, cocoa, a whole feast of fruits, and the best of all was the cane juice, we felt very spoiled. Excellent service.

The guide Mauricio. - We were lucky to have Mauricio as a guide, very experienced in the subject, charismatic and pleasant, at the end of the tour he shared with us a taste of the chocplate that is manufactured in Don Olivo, it was excellent.

Wonderful working family farm! - Truly authentic WORKING family farm! Tour guide was the son, we met dad and several daughters. The farm has 1600 cacao trees, avocado, orange, coffee, dragon fruit, banana, papaya, pineapple, vanilla… so much to see and taste! We learned so much and it was wonderful in spite of downpouring tropical rain. We were wet but happy and well fed. Would 100% recommend this tour and patronizing a local farmer. (Slightly out of town, but Uber was easy to and from).

Best recomendation ever taked. - We looked for references for a chocolate tour on the web and different platforms, we noticed that Don Olivo receives very good comments and we definitely saw why, it was a success.

Left after 20 min - Over 40 people in a small space. When I was booking, the description says: “ This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers” and as I mentioned above, we had more than 40 people in the group. Awful experience. I would request my money back and recommend others to do the same.
