Highlights
  • Arenal Canopy Adventure (Athica) - Embark on a thrilling journey that starts within a 240-hectare (600-acre) nature reserve. Traverse a 3 km (2-mile) trail featuring 16 bridges, with lengths spanning from 5 to 100 meters (16 to 328 feet) and elevations reaching 60 meters (196 feet). This pristine primary rainforest is a haven for a diverse array of birds, flora, reptiles, mammals, and insects, which our expert naturalist guide will assist you in spotting amidst the lush undergrowth. The adventure continues at the Arenal Canopy Adventure zipline park. Following a comprehensive safety orientation, we’ll ascend to the initial platform, perched at 25 meters (80 feet), and commence our exhilarating journey along 8 cables stretching over 2 km (1.2 miles) of stunning rainforest. Our zipline route includes 13 platforms, with 4 ingeniously integrated into towering trees using a non-invasive anchoring technique that preserves the trees’ natural growth. The ziplines vary in height from 20 m. (65 ft.) to 90 m. (300 ft.) and range in length from 70 m. (230 ft.) to 600 m. (1970 feet), enabling speeds up to 56 kph (35 mph). Each zipline offers a unique perspective and view, allowing you to soar over canyons, mountains, agricultural lands, and verdant rainforests.

Half a day of fun - It was a very well organized and fun tour. Highly recommended. It was an interesting and amazing walk through the rainforest with lots of animals to watch. The zip lining was just pure fun, including the Tarzan swing.

Enjoyed the combo! - Me and my 3 kids did the combo zipline and hanging bridges tour. We were picked up from hotel about half an hour late, but I'm not holding that against the company because it may have been the fault of the other people they were picking up. We have ziplined before, but not in a jungle, and it was beautiful! There were 8-9 ziplines of varying length, the employees were helpful and nice, and we especially liked a new type of zipline that is like jumping off a cliff. It was my kids fav. Afterwards they gave us delicious fruit to eat. Also nice: they took pictures for us and we bought them at the end. The hanging bridges tour also was great. We had a geat guide, Bernardo, who was really knowledgeable and showed us all sorts of animals we would not have seen had he not pointed them out, including toucans, snakes, bats, lizards, and monkeys. The hanging bridges were cool. It did rain on us (it is a rainforest), so come prepared with ponchos. And again at the end they gave us lovely fruit. All in all, loved it and would recommend.

Great day in Costa Rica - Tour guides were fantastic. Ziplining was amazing. Bridges tour was longer and had fewer animals than we anticipated.

Poorly organized and mismanaged . - The tour guides were Caesar and Marco they were the hanging bridges guides we arrived at the store office, i asked the guide if I can pick up something from the bakery next door he said we do not have time we need to leave so I did not get it. I did let him know that I need at least 10 minutes to get something to eat, they waited for so many people to join at the beginning of the tour and wasted time and during the end of the hanging bridges tour when I try to go get something to eat, the guide was extremely rude. The language , speaking tone and facial expression was absolutely not professional. I do understand that we have to be on time, but it is not an excuse for a guide to speak like that towards the customer ,he could have merely said “ ma’am we need to leave as It is late, we are holding up other people” which is understandable, but he is raising his voice, speaking in a rude manner ,making faces that is not acceptable in any hospitality industry. The whole tour was extremely not organized. He stopped sometimes he wants to catch up with his colleague, the guide we had by the way was Caesar, we stopped so many minutes inside wasting time and we asked him if we can get something from the shop he said no and after tour when we actually went to the cafe he said there is no time. It needs to be planned because lunch is not included which is already told to us. You need to make a stop for a snack at least 10 minutes between two tours for people who have another tour in addition to hanging bridges. You asked us to come to your office at 7:30 AM and we stopped at so many hotel stops before reaching the Mystikal hanging bridges. You could have kept meeting point at the entrance of mystico hanging bridges where you picked up other people and made us wait another 20 minutes instead of spending one and a half hours picking and waiting for other people and we could have atleast had breakfast and met you at entrance . Poorly organized and mismanaged . Never recommend. The information the guide shared also were something you could read from a board.
