Breathtaking, educational, and thrill seeking - Diego, Diego, Diego!! He was excellent; knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and plants, patient with my family, and fun on the water rafting portion while always being in control! We saw, sloths, toucans, no kids, dart frogs as well as so many other birds and animals all in one day!!

Muy Epico! - Wave is the best local company to work with for your adventure needs. We were blessed to get Carlos as our guide and are certain our time in La Fortuna would not have been as memorable without him. He went out of his way to teach us many things about Costa Rica, the environment, animals and even Spanish. We had an amazing time rafting down the Balsa river. The rapids are no joke, but he taught us well and kept us safe the entire time. If you are looking for adventure in La Fortuna, go with Wave everyone there is amazing, but we will always request Carlos - Pura Vida!

Best day! - We did the combination of the hanging bridges in the morning and the rafting in the afternoon. Marcos picked us up at 7am at the hotel and it was just my husband and I for the hanging bridges. What a fantastic morning! We learned so much from Marcos, about the forest and the animals and pretty much everything about Costa Rica that we could think to ask! We saw an eyelash pit viper, many birds and monkeys, both howler and capuchin. On the drive back to La Fortuna Marcos pulled over as he saw a sloth which we would definitely have missed. We got pictures and videos of the animals through the scope, which were amazing. After a brief wait at the office, we went rafting. Because the Balsa was too low due to an issue at the dam, we went on the Sarapiqui. There were about 7 rafts in our group, 5 of us with Marcos. The rafting was super fun! We saw a lot of birds and Marcos told us what each one was. The rapids were fun, and we stopped for a swim and later to jump off the rocks into the river. We had fresh fruit before the rafting and a wonderful Costa Rican buffet lunch after, and they demonstrated squeezing sugar cane and we drank the juice as well as tried some sugar can liquor. Back to La Fortuna and our hotel at ~5pm, so it was a very full day! If you have the opportunity to do this excursion, I would absolutely recommend it. Especially if you have the incredible fortune of getting Marcos as your guide. Within our amazing 12 day trip in Costa Rica, this was our favourite day!

Nice and friendly - We had a nice fulfilling day with the guys from wave. We did the hanging bridges tour the next day because it was raining heavily and Marcus (guide) said we can do it tomorrow without any extra costs!! The rafting with Gerald was amazing and he also saw 2 sloths down the road which he showed us. Also the food afterwards and the little zugarcane tour were really pretty. It was just an amazing day (actually it was 1 1/2 with the hanging bridges on the next day) would highly recommend it!!

Great day...great guide - We did this tour with marcos. He was so informative and easygoing. The morning tour of bridges and wildlife afforded us views of tarantulas, monkeys, birds, turkeys, frogs, and a viper....the bridges were fun and it is a beautiful hike. The rafting was a little worrisome for me and its pretty intense/exciting. Marcos was so skilled in rafting that i felt much more at ease a few minutes in. Lunch was excellent as well. Saw a couple sloths on rafting portion of excursion. Would do again in heartbeat. Hopefully, you will get marcos also!

An entire day of adventure - This was a great trip, and a good deal as far as packages go. The hanging bridge park is beautiful - well maintained trails and bridges made of sturdy construction. The guide is very good at spotting animals and pointing them out (we had a couple loud 10- and 11-year-olds in our group that probably did a good job of scaring off some of them). We got as close to a coati as you could get (could have touched it if we had wanted to), and saw all kinds of hummingbirds, "turkeys" (guans?), spider monkeys, and sloths. Afterwards they took us on the rafting portion of the trip, which was a Class II-III (with the first hour being serious Class III action). That was a lot of fun, and the guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a delicious snack of watermelon and Costa Rican pineapple (which is amazing stuff - much tastier than any Hawaiian pineapple I've ever had) during the trip, and in some calm regions saw some HUGE iguanas hanging out in the trees (again - never would have seen them without the guide pointing them out). Next was lunch at a plantation. They had a great Costa Rican traditional meal, served with a mild coffee (not a huge coffee drinker, but this was pretty decent). Then they give you a sugar cane demonstration (and a shot of some liquor made from it that will put hair on your chest). Finally, they drop you off at the hotel again, some 11 hours after your journey began. It was a great value for an entire day of entertainment!
