Best ever! - Our guide Juan Carlos was the best ever! He took his time showing us the beauty of the river. We saw monkeys, sloths, iguanas. He made sure we had a good time. Highly recommend!

One of the best activities of Costa Rica - Jean carlos was an amazing guide. He allowed our teenagers to jump out of the boat multiple times. It was fun, exciting, and such a memorable experience. We would definitely do it again. If you go, try and ask for jean carlos.

An unforgettable day and a must do! - We've done the White Water Rafting on Balsa River which was a great experience! All guides were extremely friendly and we felt safe all the time with our guide Warner in the boat. After the tour we had a tasty lunch and were shown around at the little farm.One should know that it can take around 1.5hrs to get to the rafting place.But the long drive is definitely worth it. To be recommended!!

Fun and Safety are the priorities! - Had an amazing experience. Started off with Giancarlo, He stopped on the way to the Rio Balsa so my kids could see a sloth up in the tree. Had so much detailed information about the area as well. Davita was the captain of our raft and made sure my kids were safe, but also had fun! When the river got a little quieter, we were able to get in inner tubes and got pulled behind the raft. But you have to ask for this in advance, so they bring the inner tubes. Which was so relaxing and enjoyable..Great time!! Awesome guides, awesome driver, awesome lunch. Amazing time! I see why Descent is number one on TripAdvisor! Thanks for the memories!

New friends and great adventures - It was the most wonderful experience. It was a thrilling and fun adventure. It got us to step out of our comfort zone and let us discover new passions. It was amazing. Werner was so wonderful. And we loved our boat mates, two excellent women from Mexico, who are now our good friends. Thank you!

More than expected, a taste of everything - Exciting river 1/2 day adventure with experienced & knowledgable guides!! We were picked up from our hotel at 9am and were given information about the land and community. Our first guide was Kevin, who spoiled us wit fresh cut fruits on way to the drop point. Here we met our raft captain Christopher- he gave us paddling insrructions and navigated us through a thrilling adventure while pointing out wildlife on the way. Owls, sloths. monkeys, frogs, tropical birds can all be seen along the way. Rare and prehistoric plants, fruits and fauna were also interpreted for us by Christopher- Christopher is a guide for many activities and has some amazing experiences to share- of both his own and also his twin sister. Yes- Chriatopher also has twin powers! There was also opportunity to get out of the raft and float down thr river. About halfway through the journey we stopped again for more fresh cut fruits.... the juciest ans sweetest pineapple and watermelon. we were able to see 2 iguanas in the tree right above us while we munched our juicy treats! One of the guides even took our photos for us- for about 100 pics person, offered for a fair and reasonable price. No need to bring a bag on the boat- you will likely not take the risk of opening your bag on this more extreme adventure. I brouggt mine and realized after i should have left it with our driver who stays with the car and keeps things safe. After rafting Kevin drove us to lunch- vegetarian option available -finished with a CR coffee before a short and informative and visually pleasing tour of the plantation and their animals. The baby goats were like puppies following after us. We (volunteers) were able to grind fresh sugar cane and enjoy a sweet drink before an offering of moonshine to taste. We were back at our hotel by 3:30pm.

Awesome guide and we had lots of fun - We did white water rafting in the balsa. The guide was fantastic and took us through the whole thing. The rapids were exciting and thrilling. Lunch was great.

Great value for money - Just fantastic friendly staff with lots of knowledge, great food and sugar cane demonstration. Was on the river for a long amount of time and felt well looked after.
