Great hike on way to nearby Ziplining - Great family hike - about 2.5 hrs for the longest trail. You may want to buy discount tickets in town - we went here as it was on the way to our afternoon zipline reservation. else it was $24 each. The only problem was it was cloudy, so we couldn't see the top of Arenal. But a fun hike none the less. Parking was free, and they have a snack shop/bathroom at the end. Staff was very friendly

Highly recommend Blue Pass and David - We would highly recommend David, who was our guide. His English was excellent. He had great local knowledge, and most importantly knew all the names of the birds.

Beautiful with great guide - Our guide's name was Mai and she was so knowledgeable of everything and made sure we learned a bit about everything. She made frequent stops to explain the history and give people their time to rest. She was so sweet and genuine and her English was really good. Any questions we had, she had great answers. The trail itself was not a hard walk, just a few rocks to watch out far. beautiful views and lots of greenery to see.

A Nice Scenic Hike Maybe Overpriced - Well-maintained trails with nice views. No animals or wildlife. Great drinks and food at the restaurant. Entrance fees high but the owner is improving the property.

Anticlimactic - Staff was nice and helpful. View from the endpoint was not as good as the view from the platform( first stop on the trail). Concession area will be really nice when it’s finished. It’s a nice work in progress. Carved bathroom doors were awesome. The sign on the trail ( I think it was here) was entertaining. The hike was fine.

Disappointing - We booked the tour through a third party as a seat in, so I assume it's the regular Hiking the Volcano tour. The hike itself lastet max. 2 hours. According to the description on the website it is supposed to last 4 hours! At the end of the hike our guide left us with another driver and rushed on to the next tour she had to do. The whole hike is on designated paths, so you can easily do it by yourself. The information given was mainly in Spanish due to the fact, that the two others were Spanish speaking. Although we know some Spanish, we sometimes had to ask for an explanation in English as well. This was significantly shorter and obviously with less details. All in all I would not say that this was value for money.
