Don’t miss out - So glad we went on this beautiful hike! Enjoyed a great hike, the hot springs, and waterfall. The indigenous presentation was also fantastic. Your guides were very personable - especially Franklin and Charlie!!!! Thank you both so much! Your humor made the hike 1000% better.

Absolutely loved this tour. Highly recommend. - This tour was so well planned, and amazing for the price. The waterfall and volcano were beautiful. I would definitely recommend bringing water shoes and wearing hiking shoes. The hike could be demanding because of the heat and stairs, but I saw many people older than me doing the tour also. I learned so much more about Costa Rica in this tour, not just about its nature and ecosystem but also about history and s modern issues. Huge thanks to our tour guide Eric. He was truly an amazing guide- so knowledgeable and engaging, I could tell everyone on the tour loved him.

BEST tour in La Fortuna - Truly Unforgettable - From start to finish this tour was truly amazing. Our tour guide Carlos - what a beautiful human being. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and ecology of Costa Rica and genuinely cares about the land. I've never seen someone so excited to explore and celebrate the earth. EVERY part of this experience was memorable. The hikes are exhausting but everytime we got to our destination, the trek was 100% worth the effort. We were blessed to see the Arenal Volcano with no cloud cover, found a family of spider monkeys in the rainforest, greeted the Cutest sloth, enjoyed the freshest pineapple and a delicious lunch, cooled off in the gorgeous La Fortuna waterfall (beware of th rocks and bring water shoes!), spoke with the generous Maleku people, and ended the most spectacular day with drinks and hot springs! Our entire group became fast friends by the end and we made unforgettable memories. Thank you for everything Red Lava team ❤️❤️ Pura Vida

Super authentic guide - It was a sporty day, but Eric, our guide, was very human and waited for me because I wasn't the fastest when it came to walking uphill. What I really liked was the guide's authenticity. I rarely find something like that and it was precisely because of his great personality that I really enjoyed the tour. Muchas gracias. Keep it up 👌🏾

Amazing views but a workout. - We loved the tour and our guide Diego was very friendly and knowledgeable. However this tour is quite strenuous for seniors as the hike to waterfall consists of alot of steep slippery steps. The hike up to volcano was also quite strenuous. The hot springs were great!

All day tour - A big shout out to Chino for making our all day tour unforgettable. He found animals that we would have never noticed if we went by ourselves. He educated us along the entire tour and knew information about everything.

Great experience! - Waterfall, hiking the volcano and thermal pools after made for a full and fun day. Diego was a great guide. The hikes weren't too hard (a 5 yr old in our group managed) but were still enjoyable and challenging. The only way they could improve is if they minimized downtime more. Lunch took too long and it felt like there were too many long breaks. If they minimized that the time at the thermal pools could be extended. But it was still great! Highly recommend!

Beautiful intro to La Fortuna! - We had such an awesome day! We loved all the places they took us and the guides were so nice and fun. The views were beautiful and it was well timed and organized. When I booked this, I didn’t really know what to pack, so here is a list to help others: water bottle, water shoes, hiking shoes (yes you need both shoes), swimsuit, hiking outfit, rain coat, towel, bug spray, sunscreen, waterproof phone pouch. Everything you pack will need to be carried around with you, so to save space, I would do a little microfiber towel and a packable raincoat. It’s a long day with changing activities so you definitely want to be prepped with the right stuff! So fun though and we really enjoyed the experience! Thank you for a great day!

Great Time! - This was a great tour. Daniel and Jener were fantastic. The mud bath and hot springs took care of my sun poisoning and heat rashes. Would highly recommend.

100% recommended! - We did the full day hanging bridges, Arenal volcano, Fortuna waterfall & hot springs with Red Lava. It was really awesome! Jacob was our enthusiastic guide. He tried very hard to show us as much wild life as possible - and he succeeded! Snakes, frogs, spiders, sloths, birds, monkeys! He spoke good English and continuously involved the entire group. We had enough time to walk/look around everywhere. Lunch was not such a standard dish, but we had a wide choice. The hot springs afterwards were great, super nice after all that walking. This tour is 100% recommended!
