At the Kyoto Shibori Museum, participants can engage in a traditional Japanese craft class that teaches the art of dyeing a 46cm x 180cm silk georgette scarf using the Itajime shibori technique. This experience results in a stunning silk scarf, perfect as a memento of a visit to Kyoto. Classes are typically conducted individually and last between 30 to 60 minutes.

Begin by selecting two preferred colors and a design, and learn the specific folding technique for the fabric. The folded fabric is then placed between identical wooden shapes. Dye the fabric in two distinct colors to create a unique hue! The dyeing process itself is an enjoyable part of the class.
