A special experience - This ceremony was the highlight of our Japan trip. We got to experience wearing beautiful kimonos and participating in a master tea ceremony. It was intimate and we got to explore the history of the tea ceremony through both the tea master and the interpreter. I was honored to be part of this intimate experience! My grandniece got to perform a small ceremony with the guidance of the master. Incredible legacy being shared with us! The only was to experience this is to be in a small group setting and this lived up to a wonderful time!

Top trip memory - This experience was unforgettable, starting with being dressed in formal kimono all the way to being able to mix our own tea after the tea ceremony. Learning the steps of a tea ceremony, seeing the meditative nature of the process and being able to share that with your group was so meaningful. We even got to pick our own patterns for our kimono and plenty of time for pictures. A top memory from our trip!

Best experience in Japan! - This was 1 of the best experiences I'd on my travels in Japan. I highly reccomend it. Sassa (our host) was amazing! The other 2 ladies dressing us up on our kimonos were so cute, I wanted to take them home with me to be my japanese mums! 🤗 We learned about when the tea cerimony began and why. And we get to make a bit of the matcha tea ourselves. It's such a beautiful and well worth time spent. You feel transported back in time! I loved every minute of it!

Beautiful small tea ceremony in lovely setting. - Absolutely beautiful tea ceremony in Kyoto. We were 8 in the room and there was a translator who translated what the tea master said and also gave us a lot of information about the history of the tea ceremony. We were dressed up in the most beautiful hand painted kimonos. Do not miss this. It was the high light of our trip.
