Awesome Japanese culture experience - We did ours today (8/15/2025). It was an awesome Japanese culture experience! The Tea Master and his assistant did a great job educating us. Their price is also better than the others. There is an additional 1,000 yen per person for the kimono rental and it was worth it! They are very accommodating and gave us recommendations for restaurants when we asked them. Thank you Kangetsu!

Excellent experience in learning Japanese Tea Ceremony - What a wonderful experience learning about the Japanese Tea Ceremony! Our tea master was artful and graceful in his demonstration. His assistance translated in English. He also demonstrated how to make match tea. They were very patient with all of our questions. The 100 year old house was beautiful! The tea master comes from 17 generations of tea masters! We did this with my 75 year old mother so tables and chairs was a bonus! Highly recommend!

A rather intimate... - A rather intimate ceremony with a tea master and host. Our children came along too (11 & 13), and enjoyed the history and activity of the tea ceremony. For those that enjoy tea, its a great way to hear the history of tea in Japan.

Informative and great experience. - The tea ceremony was very informative. And the tea master was so nice, and offered to let us all take a picture with him. The instructions were clear, and the whole experience was relaxing. They will send you a text explaining where the location is. It wasn’t hard to find at all. Everyone was also so nice. And finally, the tea was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Fun and cultural... - Fun and cultural experience. The tea master has excellent experience and gave us good insight into the world of traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. The translator made the experience enjoyable by explaining the process in a step by step way.

Oops did not expect this experience - We booked a private, one-to-one Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony with a Tea Master, which was supposed to include wearing traditional Japanese attire as part of the experience. However, upon arrival, we were placed in a group session with 13 other participants, and the traditional attire was not provided. At no stage during many correspondence we were informed it was a group setting. This was not the personalized and immersive experience we had paid for and agreed upon in advance. The experience was meant to be intimate and personalized, with only the two of us and the Tea Master present. Had we been informed we would had chosen this option. Really, we are disappointed with the experience.
