If you have time to add this to your travel, you probably should! - The Samurai Ninja Museum in Kyoto offered an educational experience, but finding it was initially confusing. Located on the 2nd floor along one of the streets of Nishiki Market, the floors are marked as 1F, 2F, and so forth, which took us a moment to figure out. Once inside, we learned a great deal about samurais and their history, which was fascinating. However, the end of the presentation was rushed. We were supposed to handle the sword, but we were hurried out to make room for the next group. Despite this, overall, we were pleased with our visit and the knowledge we gained about samurai culture.

Deadly fun! - It was a spontaneous trip and we’re glad we stopped by. Super informative and educational, it answered a lot of questions for us about samurai. There is a lot to read so take pictures to read later!

Average experience & exhibition. - We went after reading glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. However, I find the experience underwhelming and overpriced. It was also very disorganised where we were a bit lost throughout the session, maybe this is due to our luck with the staff crew that day. Firstly, this is not a museum, more of an exhibition of samurai costumes and swords and a lot of posters to read along the walls. Started with a photo opportunity for all of us to dress up in samurai costumes. Then ninja stars throwing session onto foam pads. This is plastic toy stars of course. Then a few sessions where the guide took us through the display of costumes and swords. Unfortunately for us, it was hard to understand the guide. Overall, I would skip this. Even if the ticket price dropped significantly, I would not recommend this.

Worth a try! - It was a great visit with a knowledgeable host. The highlight for me was throwing ninja darts and learning about samurai history.

An ok experience - The idea was good but it was very short and quick...i was looking forward to the dress up and they only had 2 outfits to pick from...other than that it was ok....just dont expect too much.

Disappointed - This felt like a middle school trip. Very small place. No air-conditioning. A short history of samurai and ninja was given. The whole experience was very quick, did not feel like a museum at all.

Not worth your time - I was disappointed by the whole event. I could have read up on the information provided.. I did not like the number of people they let in, makes it really impersonal. I also didn't like having to wait for the presenter. I’m only giving it a 1 for the presenter-Nobu, who did his best at entertaining the audience.
