One of my Favorite Experiences in Japan! - This was an 11/10 experience. I booked this one because all of the bigger-name tea ceremonies in Kyoto (the ones you find listed online) were fully booked. However, I don’t think one can find a tea ceremony more authentic than this. The tea house/room was very elegant, and there was a beautiful small outdoor garden. Miho, the host, was so kind that she kept the reservation even when I was 15-20 minutes late due to a delayed train. She was extremely hospitable and did a good job teaching about Japanese culture and traditions. I think this is the best-of-both-worlds experience to book because I got to do a little bit of both wgashi-making and a tea ceremony. It was a good length of time, and the location was extremely convenient because it is only a 15-min walk to Fushimi Inari (went there right after). Overall one of my favorite experiences in Japan!

Unique, beautiful and insightful - The experience we had was exceptional. From the attention of the host and the tea teacher. Very pedagogical. All in English but keeping the essence of Japanese tradition. An experience for both experts and novices. The quality of the product and knowledge are ten. Many thanks for everything!

Amazing traditional experience - This traditional tea ceremony was amazing and peaceful. Perfect experience to learn and live the Japanese culture in a non-touristic area, but only 10 min walk to the Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine (famous orange torii gates). Miho the hostess of the ceremony was friendly, nice and speaks English very well.
