Samurai Experience - I love swords, so this was a really fun experience! The explanations were very thorough and it was a safe and secure experience. It was an experience I would like to participate in again.

Fantastic experience - Staff were great explain the history of Samarai. Tour is located a beautiful area close to figi castle. I highly recommend this tour. Kids 8 an 11 loved it

Would prioritize this amazing, hands on Samurai experience! - This was an amazing experience from start to finish. I took my son for a graduation gift. He loves everything to do with Samurai. I was less enthusiastic for it initially. In the end, I enjoyed it as much as he did. Being in a house that actually belonged to a Samurai at one point, hearing the stories and the fascinating history, seeing the demonstrations, all of it was exciting and insightful. Everyone was so friendly, efficient, and engaged. The Samurai masters, besides being incredible at their craft, took great pride in teaching and helping us. The hands-on experience of actually handling the sword was awe inspiring. We were allowed to take photo and video for most of it. When we couldn’t take photos, they did for us and provided them at no additional charge. And the photos were fantastic. Ending with a Zen meditation really capped off the immersive experience.

Rare Samurai experience - I had booked this for my son and this is what he says: It was a wonderful experience learning about “San” and “Zen.” We got to learn about the samurai history and the house that the experience was taking place. Watching the demonstrations by the Masters was fascinating and actually getting to handle a 150 year katana is definitely the highlight of the entire experience. Ending off with some Zen meditation is a nice way to stay true to samurai tradition. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning a trip to Kyoto.

Authentic, intense, mesmerizing!! - Our family LOVED this experience. The first part of the class was a brief history of the Samurai which was great, and learning to wield the sword was amazing. We appreciated the zen meditation, too. We highly recommend this!

Amazing experience - Fantastic experience! How often in your life will you have the opportunity to practice as a samurai in a real samurai house? The place is stunning and the staff is very well prepared, professional and friendly. You’ll learn about history, see demonstrations and practise with the sensei. I did the experience with my 9 year-old son and it’s probably one of his best memories of our trip in Japan. 100% recommended.
