Great fun and fascinating ninja training experience - Of all our great experiences on holiday in Japan, this was one of the best. Our instructor was excellent - informative and also entertaining. After we got changed into ninja gear, he introduced us to ninja/martial arts/chi philosophy and exercises to prepare for training, then taught us various physical, combat and weapons exercises, techniques, etc while also giving us a thorough insight into multiple ninja techniques (I won't go into too much detail, to avoid any spoilers). We loved it.

Exceptionally fun and informative - We first took this class back in 2019 as a couple and enjoyed it so much that we returned in 2024 along with our daughter. We learned so much and our sensei made the whole class so fun and informative. We were able to try out throwing shuriken and blowing darts. Highly recommended!

Entertaining family experience, exceeded expectations - Expected gimmicky & touristy, but this was a really fun way to spend an hour. The teacher was patient and funny and great with the children. Everyone said they'd do it again!

Family Fun - This experience was fun for the whole family. Our instructor was knowledgeable and spoke English very well. The assortment of weapons was fascinating and shopping for our own imitation swords afterwards was great.

Really enjoyable - Really enjoyed this experience. It was fun and informative! The group was small which was nice, particularly as Kyoto is so busy.

Ninjas brought to life - I did this with my 13 year old son, as we thought it would appeal more than shrines and temples! Thankfully, I was right, but I enjoyed it too. We gained an understanding of what ninjas were and the techniques and tools they used. It was informative and the right balance of educational and fun. I would recommend it for anyone (you don’t have to be 13!).

Great ninja experience in Kyoto! - Overall a great experience and really fun. Perhaps more suited to families than solo travellers, but that may be down to the overall group mix I had on the day. Would definitely recommend!
