Highly recommend! - Fabulous experience, led by very knowledgeable guide especially in relation to the Gion district and Japanese history. Highlight was seeing so many Geiko and Maiko going about their business. Very special! It was also great that our entire group were so respectful of the women and their clients.

Best night out in Gion - We walked through some of the most popular parts of Gion, but also some much more quiet areas, learned how to pick out tea houses, how to identify flower towns, and how to spot a genuine geiko and maiko. If that was all, it would stilll have been a great tour, but THEN, we saw close to a dozen geiko and maiko heading to engagements, likely because it was the peak of cherry blossom season. Not guaranteed, but pretty spectacular to see these Japanese gems IRL. Be respectful, these professionals are working, so refrain from crowding them or snapping obnoxious pictures and enjoy the experience!

Highly recommend Kyoto Localised Walking Tours - I did the Gion Kyoto Night Walking Tour on my first night in Kyoto and enjoyed it so much that I booked the Free Walking Tour Kyoto for the next day. Ben was the tour guide for both tours and was both entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going on both these walking tours of Kyoto if you are interested in learning about the history, culture and the people in Kyoto.

Best one - What a great adventure. We learnt so much in the 1.30 hours we walked around with Dai. He was very good with adjusting us as we were 1 day late.

Great tour of Gion District - Fantastic walking tour. Our guide Dai was amazing. We learnt so much and it was very interesting to see the actual places where the geisha live, train and work. We saw a few geisha and our guide was very respectful talking quietly when they were near us and pointing out not to take pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend. It was also nice being just a small group of 10 - easy to stick together and hear the guide. Thank you Dai!

Unusual and interesting tour - Ben was our guide and his knowledge of the Gion district was mind boggling. He gave us so many interesting details about the area that the tour became very engrossing. A good sense of humor made things lively. We had a wonderful experience and suggest everyone to take this tour. You won’t regret it.

Interesting Tour in Beautiful Surroundings - Dai was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and patient. His English was great. I lived in Japan for several years (a long time ago) and still learned a great deal on this tour. Went to parts of the city we had not seen before. Big kudos to the company for accommodating us. We missed the tour on our original ticketed night (What can I say? Jet-lagged and took a nap that lasted longer than anticipated.), but the company allowed us to join the tour two nights later so that we still got to experience it. So glad we were able to do it. Recommended!
