Great experience seeing a Gaisha - Carl was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. His humor and personality made this excursion even better. We even got to see two Gaisha which was a huge honor. Highly recommend this trip but fyi tons of walking and hilly.

Loved this walk with excellent guide. - We enjoyed this historical walk & it was less crowed doing it later in the day. We ended up at nice area to dine for dinner. Small group allowed you to ask questions & get insight.

Nobumasa Miyake best tour guide - We had Nobumasa Miyake as our guide during the Gion district walking tour. He was great, very knowledgeable, kind, pointed out and explained so many things, took through so many side alleys and paths and explained a great deal of history which is what makes Japan so rich in history. Highly recommend. You will walk a bunch and the ramen place he took us was delicious too

Great evening in Gion! - What a great evening stroll through Gion with our guide Alex! Alex was an absolute pleasure, sharing his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for the area. He took us through the heart of Gion and some beautiful less traveled areas. We had a nice sit down break with a drink and snack along the way. Alex not only answered our questions, but got to know everyone in our small group as well. And he even offered to take photos for everyone. This was one of the highlights of my time in Kyoto! I highly recommend this tour, just be prepared for lots of walking.

A touch of old Kyoto! - Seeing the Yasaka Pagoda silhouette in the evening was surreal! Boris was a great guide He knew a lot about the history of Gion and geisha customs.
